Summary: Disappointing
Review: After waiting so long to continue the saga of the Tribulation Force, this book was a MAJOR disappointment! I unfortunately think Mssrs. Lahaye and Jenkins are milking this very compelling story. By the time we find out who killed Nicolae, we have plowed through half of the book without really garnering any new information or inspiration. Finally, with a handful of pages left, Nicolae returns to life only to let down the reader. This crucial occurrence is sorely underdeveloped and rushed! All in all, this book is a complete yawner. I hope the authors get back to writing books that made this series so successful in the first place.

Summary: Give us more...
Review: I have read all 7 of the Left Behind series as well as the 8 Kids editions. After waiting months for this book, I was a little disappointed at the short period of time it covered. Basically, only 3 days. Since we already knew what was coming, (based on the title, if nothing else) it was a let down to have it end where it did. The other books left us hanging with the "who did that"s and the "what's going to happen next" cliffhangers. This book ended differently, with a sort of "well, we know something is going to happen" but it didnt seem to leave me with the hunger for the next book... not enough leading into the next, making the mind work angles, etc. like the other books have. As far as a series, this is the best I have read in a long time. And there is something for everyone... danger, suspense, mystery, dischord, harmony, longing... and it brings to light a unique way to look into the book of Revelations. What a wonderful way to spread the Faith!

Summary: Thank You for the Eye-Opener
Review: All I can say is if this is any way that the Real tribulation will be THANK THE GOOD LORD THAT I AM SAVED! and I will be gone in the twinkeling of an eye. I pray that anyone who does not want to go through the real tribulation please, please ask JESUS to forgive you of your sins and to save you. Then find a good bible beleiving and preaching church. God Bless!

Summary: GOOD...BUT WITH ONLY FEW DAYS COVERED
Review: The latest in a wonderful series picks up just before the ending of Assassins...wondering who shot Nicolae? Well written and the story keeps you engrossed the whole time. Plenty of biblical references and prophecy...such as old men dreaming dreams...Joel 2:28. Revelation Chapter 12 and the first part of 13 are covered...with Leon looking more like the False Prophet. The only problem that I had with this book is that it covered only several days. Per previous reviews...Tim and Jerry are going to have to cover almost 3 1/2 years in the next 5 books. Looking forward to "The Mark" in November. Last part of Rev. 13. How far will this take us into the Great Tribulation?

Summary: Still Hanging In There
Review: I have enjoyed the Left Behind series for a couple of years now. I have received a great deal of spiritual growth in that they have lead me to study the book of Revelation. I too thought it was a little slow paced, and then rushed toward the end. I will continue to read the books, but I wish the authors would pick up the pace a bit.

Summary: This is highway robbery
Review: I agree with all those that thought that this book was a review of all the preceding books. I could have visited Barnes and Nobles, Sam Wholesale or any other bookstore and spent 30 minutes reading the last couple of pages. That's where the story of the book should have started. This book was a BIG let-down. The opening chapters should have been on the body of Nicholae coming back to life and the person responsible for his death, not how everyone was trying to get away. For the next book, I'll wait for the reviews. And will someone please tell me the page number to start reading?

Summary: As good as the first book in the series!
Review: The Indwelling was great! I read it in two days, and it was as good as the first several in the series. The last couple seemed a little rushed, but this one was awesome. It was action packed and had a few surprises also! I can't wait for the next one, but I hope the writers take their time with it and do as good a job on it as they did on this one! To God be the glory!

Summary: Disappointing, Sluggish, & Lack of Suspense
Review: I have read all 6 of the LEFT BEHIND series, and waited on a reserve list at my library for THE INDWELLING months before it was published. If it was like its predecessors, I knew it would be a quick read with lots of action and global intrigue. When I got it, I almost mis-took it for a Large Print book; once I started to read it, I understood why. It didn't take much writing to fill in the action which takes place over a week-end, and the large print must have been needed to fill in 300+ pages, perhaps to justify the hardcover publication and price. I found THE INDWELLING to be a disappointing read: convulted action (when there was any), superficial character development, same old (same old) problems facing the Tribulation Force...in some places, it was actually boring! How can elements describing the Book of Revelations be boring? The only bright spot was the addition of Tsion's dreams, where he meets the Archangels Michael and Gabriel...totally refreshing! I wish there had been more of the same. To Mr. LaHaye and Mr. Jenkins: we already know the storyline; just sweep us along at a faster pace, with characters we care about, and with the Biblical teachings as a basis for the action and its consequences. We faithful followers will do the rest...

Summary: Too Little Covered
Review: I am a big fan of The Left Behind Series. I found out about them about 6 months ago, and have read them all now. The Indwelling, like one or two of the previous books, covers way to little time in the tribulation. By my estimate, this book only covers 3 or 4 days. Jerry and Tim are stretching this out way too long. GET ON WITH THE STORY!

Summary: Sensitive Readers Stop Here
Review: I believe that The Indwelling : The Beast Takes Possession was just as good as the rest of the series. For those readers that believe that it is too wordy,or too slow, -IT'S A BOOK! What do you want? If you want a shorter version, read the book of Revelation! Just because many of us have read the ENTIRE SERIES, many people still have not! We must not forget that! For those readers that believe that is was too "Choppy"- It is written in the SAME FORMAT that the other ones were! For those readers that think the book contained some "situational ethics "-OH, PLEASE! Do me a favor and read your newspapers, turn on your TV's! THIS IS A FICTION BOOK! YOU KNOW THAT, DON'T YOU? The minds of the readers should be focused on God. The One, the Only, that gave the writers the power, knowledge, and the strength to put up with people like you! If people reading the book can't discern Truth from Fiction, then maybe they should read the CHILDREN'S SERIES!
