Rating: Summary: Captivating Christian Fiction Review: Excellent, Excellent, Excellent. I can't put these books down. Can't wait for "The Mark" to be available to find out what happens next!
Rating: Summary: Well! Review: Maybe I've been spoiled by the first of it's series: (LeftBehind) because I've YET to become THAT engrossed in any of the 6books that have since followed. (but, hey.... we still have the remaining 5 more to go, and who knows..... maybe ONE OF those will GET ME GOOD... again!)
Rating: Summary: Common! Review: I LOVE the Left Behind series. These books have helped me to better understand some of the events that might take place after the Rapture. What I don't understand is why they put this book out. It only covered 5 days, at most, and The Indwelling didn't even happen 'till the end of the book! I understand that most of the info that was in the beginning of the book was needed, but it probably could have been condensed. I now really want the next book (The Mark) so that I can continue to learn more. This book needs to be read, but don't do it if you're tired!
Rating: Summary: Couldn't put it down Review: I began reading the Left Behind series last Summer and readthem at a rate of about 1 per day (I read this one in about 8hours). I can't say that one is better than another because they are all wonderfull. I love the way the authors make it where you just can't put the book down. It is like you have to keep reading. Even if you are not a Christian or do not believe in the rapture, it is a wonderfull, suspense-filled series of books. I can't wait till November when book 8, The Mark, comes out.I do not recomend you start out with book 7, but read them in order from the first to the last. They are all great books and I give 5 stars to each one of them. ( ) If you are new to the series and have not read any of the books, get them. I am sure you will enjoy them all!
Rating: Summary: It's what I expected. Review: This book was what I expected. It could have been written in about half the number of pages though. I found myself skipping over sections of it to get to the meat of the story. I wanted to see how things were going to fall into place. It took me two days to read it, I had a hard time putting it down. It lacks the suspence of the other books, but I still enjoyed it, and I recomend it to anyone who is reading the series. I look forward to the next insallment.
Rating: Summary: Put this series to bed, Please! Review: I admit, I've gotten hooked on this series just like the rest of you. But I've had the feeling since the second book that I'm being sucked into this never ending series just to line the pockets of the authors. All of these books could have easily been combined into one nice fat paperback. The latest, the indwelling, had only about 50 pages of substance, with the subject of the title not taking place til the last two or three pages. While I enjoy the story that is unfolding, after reading each of them I've felt like I had just been robbed.
Rating: Summary: A great series Review: I have read all the books in this series and this is very well written, just like the others. I started with the first book, Left Behind, which is what I recommend you do. It helps to build on the characters and the plot if you understand what was previously written. Of all seven this is my second favorite, Assassins being the first. This book is action packed and will certainly make you think about what is "out there". You should still enjoy it even if you don't read the others.
Rating: Summary: Not as good as the previous books, but... Review: I still finished the book in under 2 days. It's a quick read, but not as compelling as the earlier books in the series. I was never that interested in the religious message of this series, but found the action, storyline and characters so captivating, that I continue to read the series. The Indwelling spends a lot more time on the religious message, with Rayford's epiphany and Tsion's out-of-body experience. I agree with many of the other reviewers that the authors should have gotten to Carpathia's "resurrection" much quicker. It wasn't a big surprise that it happened during the funeral, but that was what the reader was waiting for. The rest was filler. And Chloe's crisis regarding Kenny (I don't want to give anything away) seemed completely out of character for her. I was shocked by it, as Chloe has always been extremely logical and sensible. I will continue to read the remaining books, but I hope that the authors take a cue from the review of this one and get to the action quicker.
Rating: Summary: Great book if you read all the other ones Review: The book seems to develop a little bit slower in this one, but of course at the end it is jam-packed with inrigue. It must be hard to write 7 books that all contain the same story plot. I would recommend people to read the whole series if they can it may just save your life.
Rating: Summary: The Indwelling is great Review: Beginning The Indwelling was like catching up with old friends. Those who have read the previous books in this Left Behind series already know the major characters and with the release of The Indwelling we are back in touch with our friends during the trials of the Tribulation. Who killed Carpathia? We don't find out until nearly the middle of this book. The first half of the book kept me interested because of my familiarity with the characters and Jerry Jenkins' fine writing. The happenings aren't too grabbing. But that changes by the mid to latter part of the book as more prophecies begin to be revealed and the reader sees comparisons between Nicolae and Jesus Christ. A great book! Do we really have to wait until this fall for the next installment?
