Summary: The beginning
Review: They said to me: "This is the new Tolkien." So I thought, well, we'll see. But just when I started reading this book, there was no way of stopping me, and since then I've got a problem. I wanted to read all the books about the Riftwarsaga and after them I needed to read the Serpentwar saga as well. Of course, once you're begun, you can't stop yourself and you have to read on. Never have had that before -only exception should be Mist of Avalon.

The story begins with Pug, a young boy and his friend Tomas. They just happen to be in the wrong tme on the wrong place, but they're there and - well, it should be stupid to review. It's impossible. Just read it, that's the bet way to know.

I have learned much. When Pug is on the other world, when Tomas is being Ashen Shugar. It makes you start thinking about your own life and your own self. Superb. Not only did Tomas and Pug change, this book even changed me.

Summary: Had a few flaws, but altogether a well-rounded book...
Review: I have to be quite honest with you -- the first half of the book CRAWLS. We are constantly reading about Pug's magic problems, problems with Roland, problems with Carline. We're waiting for this awesome thing to happen but it's not until the last 50 pages or so that it gets as good as we expected. I have read other books by Feist and I know he has learned from his "teething" days of writing and I'd bet a lot that the series gets better. One other thing that bothered me was we are spent so much time reading about these characters but in the end we really know almost nothing about them or their past. Still a recommended read but don't expect a Tolkien or Jordan here.

Summary: One of the best
Review: This was actually the first fantasy novel i ever read, and now, having sampled much of what the genre has to offer, I can say with confidence that Feist nicely crosses the gap between the deep and complex, and the light and insipid. His world, in any other's hands, would produce trite crap, but he manages to make it not only believable but compelling, with his sympathetic characters, well-developed geopolitical environment and bold writing style. Don't expect something in the same vein as Williams, but it is a pleasant, original read nonetheless, and certainly beats the pants off of Goodkind or even Jordan.

Summary: This is a very heart touching book, I have loved
Review: Magician: Apprentice opened me up to a whole new world of fantasy. With R.E.F (Raymond E Feist) talent for making characters you can feel for( Pug and Tomas) and having them develop is a rare quality in a great Author. And in this book you will not only enjoy the several action scenes, but also you shall enjoy the things of everyday life. For in R.E.F books just watching the characters grow is enough of a story

Review: I read this book 3 years ago and it opened me up to a new sense of thinking, this is a story about two great young men, Pug and Thomas, and they enduring friendship through an event where someone would need it the most

Summary: This whole series is great fun.
Review: Try explaining what they're about to someone else and they sound pretty dumb. But they're a real treat to read and I'm reading them again for the 3rd time right now!

Summary: A GREAT INITIATION TO SCI/FI FANTASY
Review: This was actually the first fantasy I ever read. That was about 10 years ago. It was great! LOTR...please! this book was the greatest. I have been searching for years for the others they are just as good as the first.

Summary: Best fantasy book I ever read!!!!!
Review: Many years ago I read this book and have reread it since. I must say if there is even a doubt in your mind about this book....just buy it!!!!!

Summary: A Re-Introduction to Fantasy
Review: Apprentice was the first fantasy book I have read since 1996, and I must say that now that I have read it, I will diligently, with no argument, succumb to more fantasy novels. It is truly a magnificent novel, and I am not ashamed to admit that love fantasy literature, if you can call it that. Problem is, I have to wait till I go to the US to get the books, which is why I'm grateful for Amazon. Thanks from Zw.

Summary: Sssshhyeaahhh Right !! And I'm the King of Siam
Review: The best book EVER !!!! Nope. Not even close. Not even in the top 100 if we were to compile one. Tired, dull, plodding, these are all words that spring to mind when thinking about this book. Ain't there anybody out there with any original ideas anymore ?
