Summary: What???
Review: The book was very predictable. All through the story there were no real surprises.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Everything you hoped for, nothing you'd expect
Review: First can I just say:- ...Whoah...
Now if only the movie can match up to this. Okay, it's still not perfect plotwise, and I did notice that 'Clones' bears more than a passing resemblance to Episode V; Ten years have passed since young Anakin, singlehandedly took out the Droidship over Naboo, and began his Jedi training. Enter a headstrong, reckless, rebellious teenager, (Do they come any other way in these movies?) whose skills with the force are equally matched by his knack for frustrating his friend/mentor Obi Wan Kenobi.

Our central story follows the former queen, turned senator for Naboo, Padme' Amidala, who having suffered an attempt on her life, is assigned with our two Jedi heroes as protection. At this point a little suspension of disbelief may be necessary, as once it becomes apparent that the 'Jedi apprentice' has deep and intense feelings for Padme', something that the Jedi are supposed to frown upon, both Kenobi and some of the Jedi council decide not just to 'leave it be', but give Anakin sole responsibility over her safety, whilst Obi-wan tracks down the assassins alone . Now the plot divides up, as 'Empire style' our heroes go their separate ways, Anakin and Padme' to Naboo, and later, Tattooine; Obi-Wan on the other hand, follows up clues in a souped up, fancy Jedi spacefighter, on a trail that will lead him to uncover several conspiracies and a mysterious bounty hunter named Jango Fett. And can this guy ever go into a bar without de-limbing anyone?
Love him or hate him though, Anakin does seem to match the descriptions Master Yoda and an older Obi-wan gave of him to Luke in Empire and Jedi, ie, powerful, angry, a good friend, etc. And in reading this particular slice of the future Sith Lord's life, it is easy to see how much the son follows his father's path, learning the same lessons, with the same consequences. Yes, 'those' consequences!

With new characters; Jango & Boba Fett, Count Dooku, Captain Typho etc, alongside several returning ones, ie Mace Windu, Chancellor Palpatine, even Jar Jar, excuse me, Acting-Senator Binks, Attack of the Clones may not suit everyone who likes Star Wars, especially those who weren't impressed by Episode 1, but if like me, you're eager to see where it's all going, then this one'll definitely be of interest.

Summary: Question
Review: I just have one question: why is everyone so upset that Anakin is turning out to be a bad character? HELLO! He becomes Darth Vader, the evil Sith lord responsible for many deaths......he's supposed to descend into darkness.....he's SUPPOSED to be a jerk......in my opinion, this book portrays that perfectly. If you want to criticize Padme's contradiction, or other elements in the story that shouldn't have been there, by my guest. But don't criticize the fact that a character that we all know is going to become very evil is becoming just that!!!!

Overall, this book was great. I can't wait for the movie. I do agree that you should skim through it a bookstore before you buy it...unless of course.....you're a die hard fan. :-}

Summary: Don't know what people were complaining about
Review: I've read some of the reviews of the book and it seems that people have had problems with the romance between Anakin and Padme. You people have to understand that this is based on a screenplay, and that the romance between the two characters was made to be portrayed through acting, not words. So until you see how the love story plays out on screen please don't complain about it. Yes, Anakin does whine in the novel but Luke seemed much whinier in A New Hope. Overall I really enjoyed the book as it fixed the problems of Episode I (less Jar Jar, no midi-chlorians, more action) and had the feel of the original trilogy. Can't wait till May 16.

Summary: Can't wait to read!!
Review: I got this book April 24, 2002.I wanna to read it, but I don't want to spoil the movie. The movie is much more fun when your in supence, and don't know what's gonna happen till it happens. But what do Annie and Padme do on Tatoonie?? (sp??) I'm confused, is it something father than kissing?? But so can't wait to read this book.

Summary: This is a very good book!!!!!
Review: I like this audio book because it's cool. I've listened to all 6 cassettes of this story. I bought this at a book store yesterday! after it went on sale. I can't wait to see the actual film. I'm very impressed with Jonathan Davis's reading of the story. I highly recommend this to future Star Wars fans.

Summary: Can't Get Any Better
Review: A must read for both the serious Star Wars fans; as well as the simply curious to know more than what they will see on the big screen.

Mr. Salvatore (as well as the creator - George Lucas) keeps the pace moving quickly and expertly. Unlike most current writers, he does not appear to be getting paid by the word, whether the word is needed or not.

Star Wars is back on track!

Summary: INCREDIBLE!
Review: I finished this book in two days. I could not put it down. I don't want to ruin the plot but, you can see why Anakin starts to turn to the dark side. More importantly, you sypathize with him. For the last 60 pages you will turn off the TV and unplug the phone. Buy this book!

Summary: Action & Drama for Young Padawans to Master Yedi
Review: Star Wars Episode II - The Attack Of The Clones is a significant improvement over the novelisation of Episode One. The text covers more adult themes, with tension, pathos, amore and action. The plot is more adult-friendly and leaves the reader with Great Expectations for the movie.

Summary: An enjoyable read (and preview!)
Review: Altough I prefer the writing style in Episode I, the story in Episode II: Attack of the Clones is better. The story moves quickly and only drags in a few places. The writing style is most troublesome in the longer fighting scenes, particularly at the end. It focuses too much on the main action and neglects to describe surrounding events. This causes other characters to somewhat appear from nowhere to save the day. Occasionally this is what happens, and we love the last minute saves, but since we know Anakin, Obi Wan, and Padme do not die, we should be kept up to speed with their actions. At one point, Padme falls from a speeder, and the next we know, she's getting married. That's a bit too much skipping ahead, especially when Anakin almost risks expulsion from the Jedi order to check on her seemingly lifeless body. So what happened? Too many times this lack of follow through takes away from the story. Suspense is good, but this goes too far. That sounds negative, but I couldn't put the book down-its just why I cannot give it 5 stars. As with Episode I, I highly recommend the book to anyone who will see the movie. It simply gives more insight, explaination, and therefore more enjoyment. It was made to be a movie, and the book does not take away, only adds to the pleasure we get from Star Wars.
