Review: This is the best yet written and I see that few people have appreciated it. I was a little dissapointed at the end when Palin puts Caos back into the Greygem, and the gods flee, turning Ansalon into the Earth of now. I recomend people to read this book

Review: After years of mourning Raistlin's "death", my favorite character comes back. Even without his magic, in this book Raistlin shows how powerful he is. The story, as all written by perhaps the best adventure novel author team, is wonderful and enjoyable. It has action, sad moments and the humor that Mr Hickman and Mrs Weis always deliver in perfect fashion. If you are a Dragonlance fan, this is a must; although you'll cry at the end of the book. With so many books out there, maybe TSR should let Krynn pass away into legend as perhaps the best-ever conceived fantasy land

Review: The book itself is somewhat interesting but the fact that they kill off almost every main character includeing the new ones kinda makes it seem like weis and hickman are sick of there only being know for dragonlance and decided to do away with it

Summary: A triumph as well as a disappointment
Review: This is undoubtedly one of the best, if not the best books in The Dragonlance Saga. From beginning to end it is an enthralling journey and all six times that I have read it I have completed it in one day due to the fact that I cannot put it down. As far as characters go, it contains some of my personal favorites including Raistlin, Caramon, Tasselhoff, as well as some new additions to the ongoing saga. As outstanding as this work is I cannot help but feel disappointed at the end when all that I have come to love about Krynn is suddenly forced out of the picture. I am unsure of the motive for removing all the magic and the brilliant gods that have been introduced up to this point. Could it be that the creators of this fantastic world see no future in the tales of magic and colossal gods? Is it possible that they are becoming tired of their creation and wish to experiment with something new? Or could it be that they are preparing for a new generation of authors and dreamers to take Krynn into The Age of Mortals. I would like to think the later to be the case but quite frankly I cannot be sure. For those of you who have become attached to the world of Krynn and its inhabitants, the end will heartbreaking but it will not be without hope. You will be forced to bid farewell to the characters you have loved and lived with in your minds but I am sure you will come away smiling

Summary: Dragons of Summer Flame was an exciting book in Krynn.
Review: Dragons of Summer Flame was an exciting visit giving you the full conclusion of the fourth age in the fantasy world of Krynn. This book focused mainly on the two cousins, Palin Majere and Steel Uth Matar Brightblade. This book gives a more in depth look into the life of Steel than it did in the book of stories written earlier. Hearing more about the mage, Palin, in this book gave an interesting look into his soul and told the story of how he became independent. In the end, the death of the fun-loving kender, Tasslehoff Burrfoot, was sad to me, having come to enjoy his antics in other stories that I had read. The only thing that I didn't like was not knowing what happened to the large adventurer turned inkeeper, Caramon. Is he still alive? Is he dead? Was he taken by on of the demons? The question is still livid in my mind. Margaret Weis has always been a favorite author of mine, and has written many great books, but to me, this on takes the cake. Written by, Cyan Bloodheart

Summary: Enjoyable
Review: The book does a good job explaining some of Steel's background. However, many mentions of Steel obtaining Sturm's sword are made, but never clearly spelled out. Weis and Hickman had a preview of this book (Where? I cant remember), which told the story of Steel obtaining the sword, and then it jumped into Steel meeting Palin. Otherwise, this book is very good reading. Well worth it

Review: I enjoyed this book a lot. It had the most amazing characters out of the entire series. My favorite characters were Palin, Usha, Raistlin, and of course Tasslehoffe. The book also had its thrills and some really sad parts to it. Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman are the best DragonLance authors that there are. Summer Flame was the best one of all of the chronicles series as well

Summary: Decent, but not quite up to par...
Review: This book seems to almost have been an afterthought to Weis and Hickman. Their intention with this book was supposedly to put an end to the Dragonlance Saga, which makes no real sense, since they are currently working on a new trilogy. The book details the travels of a young girl with powerful magics with Dragonlance's usual sidekick, Tasshehoff Burrfoot. Oddly enough, Raistlin also makes a return appearance, which makes me wonder if they just threw in a bunch of readers' favorite characters in the hopes of getting people to buy it. In all, the writing was still good, but I felt that the storyline needed some serious help

Summary: Excellent story, less than original ending
Review: This story passes the torch from the original first generation, "The Heroes of the Lance," to the 2nd generation of heroes, namely Palin Majere and Steel Brightblade. There are token appearances by the original heroes, (some seeming a bit contrived), but both Tasselhoff and Raistlin are prominent in the plot. The ending of the story was a dissappointment to me and seemed to be a carbon copy of the ending of The High King, by Lloyd Alexander. A definite must read for any lover of fantasy, this story isn't quite up to par with Chronicles & Legends series

Summary: Pretty good although rather dissapointing
Review: For a real Dragonlance Fan, this book isn't quite in the spirit of the series. However, the book was well written and the story in itself was preety good. I always liked Raistlin as a character and it's pretty dissapointing that he comes back powerless. Although this does mean that Weis and Hickman aren't writting anymore books, there are many stories which could branch off of this. Still, if you ask me, the Dragonlance Series is already overdone. There are just way, way ,way too many stories in the series now. Personally, I think that we don't need all that many novels in this series. I gave this book an 8 because the story was well written and it gave us a much better look at the god whom we never really find out much about.
