Summary: Best Book Ever
Review: Terry Brooks is an amazing new author with a lot of talent. I picked up this book and could not put it down until I was finished. An engaging tale with action, suspense and yes even a little romance this book has anything you could want. I highly recommend anyone who loves fantasy read this book, and while your at it you may just want to pick up the whole series because if it is possible to improve on perfection the rest of the books in this series try to.

Summary: Thoroughly Engrossing! A Great Read (listen)!
Review: This is the first novel I have ever read in this genre. What a fabulous start! I can only hope all fantasy novels are this original and entertaining. Wow!

Summary: Awesome
Review: This is the premier fantasy writer of all-time. Any other words, speeches or reviews are woefully inadequate to express the triumph of his work. His characters are my friends, his world is a living tapestry and his villians are true inspirations of evil. I'm eagerly awaiting the fifth book and have every intention of purchasing it in hardcover despite the argument it will cause with my wife.

Summary: One of the best series around
Review: I loved this series. All the characters are very human (and it is pretty nice to read a believable fantasy book with only humans as intelligent people) Terry Goodkind is a greatauthor and it is unbelievable the way some people have been slamming this series as unoriginal. I have a VERY LARGE repetoire of fantasy books (350+) and this is definately one of the best. It easily makes the 1st graders intro to fantasy (a.k.a. Hobbit and Lord of the Rings) look pathetic. Only a few series are better then this one, and who knows, this one may still become the greatest when its 5th book finally arrives. The Characters are all believable, (the vilains the most of all, in many ways, they are thhe most creative of all) and very human in their flaws. The absolute believability(Spellcheck?) is the strongest point in this series, closely followed by its new and believable system of magic, the most creative inteligent races I have ever seen with any kind of major role in a fantasy series (namely gars) I know this contradicts an earlier statement, but to explain it would be a spoiler... If you want an excellent, and long read. Look no further, this is the series for you.

If they fail to find the first one the second one holds the instructions on opening one of three other books; the first book their looking for being one of them. along the way they run into all sorts of trouble and get seperated numerous times, and undergo unimaginable pain in spots. Summary: The Sword of Truth series is fantastic!
Review: Wizard's First Rule is one of the best fantasy novels ever written. Terry Goodkind is a fabulous writer. This book kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. There is not one slow part in it. I consider myself a very picky fantasy reader, and i absolutly loved The Sword of Truth series. So if you haven't read any of the four books yet I suggest you put down what your reading and nab Wizard's First Rule. I promise you you won't hate it!

Summary: First rate fantasy!
Review: I have read some of your reviews of this book, and quite frankly I have to sympithize with Goodkind. It is very hard, seeing as though there are so many books in this genre, not to copy. I think that the characters were complex and interesting, and I really felt sorry for what Richard and Kahlan were going through. I even felt sorry for Denna, the Mord-Sith. I have read all the books in this series, and Wizard's First Rule is still my favorite. In fact I sometimes find myself picking it up and reading a part of it for an hour or two. And, I do think that Terry Goodkind is either sexually repressed in someway, or he just likes those kind of things. If anyone likes fantasy books, read the Wizard's First Rule!

Summary: it's deffinatly worth it.NO I REALLY MEAN THAT....READ IT
Review: I am a university student, have read fantasy before, have not read alot of fantasie.

Ok. now i read this book about 7 monthes before this time. I was bored in class one day and read the first 50 pages (it was my friends book not mine) or so... wow what a mistake. I can't pay attention to anything in the middle of a good book and this book here was my life until i finished it two days later. People say it starts out slow and it does its own way but there is one point in the book where it REALLY beguins (its after the shadows at the mud people) then its a mad dash for 500 pages. during those pages i laughed and got angry and yes there were tears. the charecters are implanted in my heart (even the ones who died or wern't talked about alot latter on in the series). I refused to read the second book for 2 monthes because of the prophecy at the end. i just cared that much about the charecters that i couldn't risk letting one of them die.

Summary: A well written, enthralling book.
Review: I needed to read a book for my English class, and this book came with very good reviews from my friends. So, I started to read it on the weekend of my Spring Break, and finished it three days later.

I had not read any fantasy books at all with the exception of Tolkien's Lord of the Rings series. And, I must admit, I thought that this book looked to be a start to a better series than Tolkien's was.

This book drew on many of my emotions as I read through it. I began to become acquainted with Richard, Kahlan, Chase, and Zedd because the length of the book allowed it. I always took their side when they encountered danger, always got angry and the more evil antagonists like Darken Rahl and Denna. I could see Richard's and Kahlan's love develop, a love that was forbidden. I explored their world with them, from air and land. Basically, I experienced this book more profoundly than any other I had read.

It sounds silly, but I became friends with the characters in the stories, and adversaries of the antagonists. My emotions were at a high by the end of the book, with Richard's experiences with Denna, and Kahlan's experiences during that time. The book brought out a lot of sadness, fear, and anger; things that I didn't expect to experience when reading a book. I have already read the first three books of his series, and have become so attached to these characters. I can't wait to get to the fourth book, for I know it will also be well written.
