Summary: Best book ever
Review: I never was really into fantasy, but when I started to read Goodkind's books I was hooked. The story grabs you and brings you along on the ride. It goes from adventure to romance. The characters become so real. You will never put the book down.

Summary: This book is way offensive...
Review: I'm a huge fan of fantasy and sci-fi novels, with some of my favorites like the Shannara series. But this book is simply too graphically offensive for my tastes. At one point in the book the author goes into great detail describing how the villain murders a child, smashes his brains, cuts off his genitals and eats them! I'm sorry but that's a bit too much.

Summary: Deftones
Review: I was just wondering if Loki, seeing as how he is the most intelligent reviewer of all, could think of a better insult than "moron." Why don't you use a little flare, flamboyance? Moron? I would think that only uneducated and ignorant people would use the word "moron" to devestate someone's self-esteem. I resent your comment that only "morons" can like _Wizard's_First_Rule_. Granted, Mr. Goodkind does not have the greatest grasp of mechanics and syntax known to man, but he wields a plot well, and his imagination put into words is certainly the most exciting thing I've ever witnessed. By now, Loki, you should realize that I've a better grasp of English than you do, and I have a better compilation of words in my vocabulary than you do. Have fun while "morons" like me make something of ourselves and people like you sit at home with big greasy beer bellies, raging against the world, and calling everyone "morons".

Summary: E X C E L L E N T Im hooked!!!!!!!
Review: What can I say but Thankyou Mr Goodkind your work is absolutely outstanding!!!! Where do I start???? The Characters, too many to go into too much detail, but Richard and Khalan are excellent, and Zed, well I must say the image of his saggy wrinkly backside had me cackling even after the third time I read the book, just great!!!.

I hope that those comments by certain individuals, dont upset you, theyre not worth the effort, thats for your fans to knock them down, Mr Goodkind rest easy, theres plenty of us out there that feel your one of the most talented Fantasy writers out there today, and I look forward to more great and wonderfully immersive stories that I know will come. I impatiently await your 5th exciting installment, to those out there who read this please go out and read it you wont regret it!!!!

As a side issue I dont take too kindly to people calling those who thoroughly enjoyed Mr Goodkinds work, such horrible things, its insulting and hurtful, I hope that no-one treats you with such disrespect about something that has given you such wonderful enjoyment, so please, to those out there that would think of writing such nonsense, "Sticks and stones may break my bones but names hurts a hell of a lot more!!!!".

Summary: One extreme or the other
Review: I personally thought this book was awful. Even by skimming over large parts of it, I couldn't finish it. There seem to be two extremes in terms of the reviewers of this book. There are those that loved it and those that loathed it. It seems to depend on what type of reader you are. If you are new to fantasy, its entirely possible you'll enjoy this novel. If you're a regular reader, you'll find it extremely annoying. Its a hack job with no depth to it. If you don't care about continuity or character development, you may enjoy it anyway.

Summary: Bletch.
Review: Does the word "Ishtar" ring any bells? How about the sequel to the film-version of Highlander?

Enough said.

Summary: Some people just don't get it
Review: I think that some people (especially Loki, from Dallas) need to get their heads screwed on straight. Here you are writing a review for a book that you have not even read! Then you criticize the people who HAVE read it, and call them stupid for reading it. You are a typical idiot. You need to stick to books that have fewer pages than the number of brain cells that you have. So that basically eliminates anything over 1 page long. This was a great book, probably the best I have read, and I have read a ton of Fantasy books. So if you have something against this book, keep it to yourself you moron. Not only does it make you look like a jerk, but it also is degrading to the author himself. For anyone else interested in reading this book, all that you can do it try it our for yourself. Don't listen to what anyone else says about it. Judge it for yourself, but just keep the nasty opinions to yourself.

Summary: A wonderful story with enthralling characters
Review: Best Fantasy Novel Ever! I have read many fantasy novels (Tolkein, Jones, McAffery, Eddings etc.)none of which matched the brilliance of this series. The plot is non-stop excitement and keeps you reading for hours. It demands your attention and keeps hold of it till the very end. The characters are also very human. I found myself rooting Richard on during his fights, and wanting to smack him when the answer was right before his very eyes. I felt the same fear, anger, sorrow, and happiness that the characters felt. This series is so amazing that at the end of the last one, I felt depressed because it was as if my best friends had left me for a few months. I picked up the first one and read it over. I just finished the fourth book for the second time and am waiting impatiently for the fifth. The only worry I have about the up-coming novels in that the characters may become to powerful.

Summary: Very good Book
Review: This was the second real fantasy book that I ever read and I don't regret every minute spent reading. Richard is a believablle character and all the others like Zedd and Khalan add more to the story. My one problem is that it diddn't seem all that origional. It took idea's from Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series. In both stories they have similar charactersand if you read both, you should notice what is the same. The difference is that Terry Goodkind took out the boring stuff of Wheel of Time and turned it into a fast paced fantasy novel. This story is the Wheel of Time made better
