Summary: Good book, Great Story
Review: I finished reading Terry Goodkind

I just finished Reading Terry Goodkind's book Wizard's First Rule and I loved it, Terry Goodkind really knows how to tell a story with charactor's that you care about and believe in. I'm glad that Richard and Kahlan finaly made their relationship work, Zedd,Chase, and Rachel are all good Charactors and I can't wait to see what happens to the in the next book, I just started reading Stone of Tears and so far it is starting off with a bang. If you like a good book and Fantasy than I highly recommened Terry Goodkind's Wizards First Rule you won't be dissappointed.

Summary: Boring, trite, repetitive, simplistic
Review: Oh dear. Having just finished the Robyn Hobb Liveship seeries I looked for another series to start reading. This time I wanted to go with something that was largely published so I didn't have to wait between installments. Now I won't have to. This book and the second in the series were complete shockers.

Save your money.

Summary: A Very Good Fantasy Novel
Review: I first read this book about a year ago, and I think I've read it about 5 times since! It's one of my favorite books of all time. One of the best things about it is that you really get to know the characters. You feel like you're right there with them.

This book is definately worth the money. I don't think you'll be disapointed.

Summary: The book rox.
Review: Read it. People say that its just a copy of WoT. I only read a little of wheel of time, but i could tell that the characters in it are totally one demensional. this is a much better series :). I picked up this book a long time ago....some time when i was like 8 or 9.....i was blown away. It was awesome.....Tokien FINALLY has some competetion! I bought it a few months ago and re-read it. it was just as good.....i got stone of tears....then blood of the fold....them temple of the winds....then soul of fire....and now i have finished faith of the fallen.... books 4 and 5 started to go a little downhill, but FotF was almost as good as book one, which is the best!

GOODKIND RULES!

Summary: Wizard's First Rule
Review: Perhaps one of the most grasping fantasy novels I have read yet. It takes you right from the beginning and throws you into a innumerable amount of unimaginable situations while keeping the characters rather true to reality in their line of thinking. Richard to me compares to Rand very much in Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series which to me is the best fantasy series since Tolkien. The characters are fantastic and the development of the small characters is amazing. The best thing about this book is the way Goodkind portrays the story of love, it is amazing. To me this is a must read for anyone who is serious about fantasy novels.

Summary: something for everyone in the family
Review: I purchased this audio book for a family driving trip in thehope that it would give the kids something to do rather than [bug] each other. Not only did we all listen, but we often found ourselves driving considerable distance out of our way simple to continue listening. We have since listened to all of the books and especially enjoyed 2,4 & 5. Still, this was BY FAR the best. The story carries you, the characters are people you'd like to know and the man who narrates gives each a unique character. I highly recommend Wizard's First Rule.

Summary: Wizard's First Rule:
Review: This is one of the best fantasy novels of the decade. Characters "coming to life" is an over used saying but Goodkind dosen't just make you feel like you know these characters, you identify with them so deeply you feel like you ARE these characters. Mystery is a major part of the plot and keeps you turning pages, eager for more. As the mysteries unfold 1 by 1, you are left in the middle of a very unique and exciting fantasy setting. The action is fast paced and realistic and the book is impossible to put down. I've heard a couple of people say they didn't like it. If you enjoy good literature and are a true adventure fan, there's nothing NOT to like about this book. Refer to the wizard's first rule: people are stupid.

Summary: Exquisite!
Review: What can I say? The book grabbed me and pulled me into the world and minds of the characters. There was never a dull moment! The funny thing is, I didn't even buy the book for myself! I bought it for a friend, but once I got home, I was curious so I read the first paragraph. Then another. Before I knew it, I was out buying the sequel. As for the friend, oh well.I wasn't about to part with my book. Anyway, evey good fantasy reader should go out and get this book. And as for skeptics, you read it too. You'll be another sucessful convert. I promise.

Summary: Quite Good, I am surprised
Review: Wizard's First Rule was a fast read for me. I finished it in a couple of nights because I couldn't take my eyes off the pages. It was captivating. I was however, shocked and not prepared for the intense emotional experience that came with reading it. I would call this book not just fantasy, but bordering on horror as it contains very disturbing imagery (like the scene inside the cave) and I certainly wasn't prepared for all of the sexual violence (which is worse than gore to me). Nevertheless, I must say that I enjoyed the novel almost as much as the Wheel of Time series I read before it. Maybe more. I will have to check out its sequel.

Summary: Tolkien's a Legend, But Goodkind's the Man!
Review: First off let me tell you that it's been a while since I read Wizards First Rule. (It's nearly been two years now)But I remember this book as the first book to get me interested in epic fantasy. Such as: Memory,Sorrow and Thorn, The Wheel of Time, and though not as good as the previous four including The Sword of Truth, The Witches of Eileanan.

I've strayed from my thoughts, anyway this was the book that opened up the gateways to modern fantasy. Good VS Evil, is included though perhaps that has been around since the Dark Ages. But Goodkind focuses directly on making his world, characters, and ideas, surprisingly very much like our own. You will mourn for some of the bad guys, though after reading the other five you will perhaps change your veiw upon Mord-Sith all together.

Rejoice at Richard's victories, after the countless numbers of dilemmas he finds himself facing. You may perhaps grow jealous of the love between Kahlan and Richard, but you to, will rejoice at the end of Temple of the Winds.

And perhaps mourn the loss of one of our favorite characters in Soul of the Fire. And no I'm not talking of Fetch.

All in all I would give Goodkind's first book, Wizards First Rule. A Ten, but I would give the whole series a 49, because Blood of the Fold is (in my opinion) one of his weaker books in this series. Otherwise, this series is well written and I await Faith of the Fallen.
