Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Outstanding, possibly life changing, could be more polished
Review: While the writer is not a polished expert the story moved me to make some changes in how I view life. I'm moving quickly toward middle age and have spent much time thinking, "If I only knew then what I know now." I think Replay made me realize that it wouldn't matter, that life is what you make it in the here and now and there is no gaurantee that you would live it better given a second, or third or fourth chance.....It made it clear that there is no sense dwelling on how your life might have been at the expense of the life that IS. This is a MUST read, especially if you are in your mid 30's onward.

Summary: This book makes you think!
Review: This book is excellent. I read it when it first came out, and read it again a few years later. I'm very pleased in was reissued in paperback in 1998. This book is a "must read" for any intelligent, curious person who wonders, "What if...?"

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: The best way to wonder "What if I did it this way?"
Review: I don't know where to start concerning how this book has affected me. Probably the best compliment I can offer is this is one of the handful of books I read once a year, and I have been doing that for this book for six years. It never gets tired, old, redundant, whatever. Perhaps treating the book that way parallels what Jeff, the protagonist, goes through.

How magnificent would it be to relive your life, from 18 years old to 43? Not travelling by machine, but through your conscious mind, knowing what you know, and trying to turn it to your advantage. What could possibly go wrong? Read.

The theme of the book, not wasting the time we have, is universal and comes through here very poignantly, practically to the point of wanting to call the ones who mean the most to you and tell them how much so. Skeptical? Read.

Buy it, read it, and learn from it.

Summary: A Haunting Book
Review: This is a sweet and sad book about a man who dies and relives his life over and over again. Each time the relived portion of his life is shorter. The author does not describe the porcess by which this occurs but lets us share in the anomie this causes its central characters. I have read this novel five or six times and I moved each time I read it.

Summary: Definitely a keeper!
Review: I have a simple rating system: as I can't possibly have room for all the many books I read, after I read them, they are either a keeper, a gift to a friend or a donation to my local charity.

This one is excellent! One of the best time travel stories I've ever read. Definitely a keeper!

Summary: Replay, A Must Read Novel
Review: I've purchased well over 50 copies of this book, both used and new, handing them out to family, friends, and co-workers. I too have loaned out my personal copy, only to have it disappear as it was passed on to another reader. An avid reader who devours volumes every week; "Replay" is one novel that is reread every 12-18 months.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Great read! And I never tire of re-reading it.
Review: Very entertaining and thought-provoking novel! Brings forth feelings of both joy and melancholy. Makes you think about the values in your own life.

Summary: Why Replay Is So Compelling
Review: Like many people, I have a small collection of books that I re-read every few years. Although I know the plots in excruciating detail, each reading brings some new insight or other pleasure. I read Replay when it first appeared, and again several times thereafter, until I lost the book during a move.

One of the reasons Replay is so compelling is that it speaks to a deep longing that many people have to re-live parts of their own lives - to correct mistakes, or take advantage of missed opportunities. Then too, there is the feeling of deja vu that all of us experience at one time or another, making us wonder if we really are re-living past lives.

I'm pleased to see that Replay is still available.

Summary: A book you have to read more than once
Review: My mother gave me this book to read sometime in the early 90s. I was enthralled and couldn't put it down. Now, almost 10 years later, every now and then, my mom and I bring it up, saying how weird it is that one book has stuck with us so long. I lent it to a friend a couple of years back and never saw it again. It's good to know that I'm not the only one out there who has become addicted to this book. I am going to buy another copy and put it in my permanent library. No more lending!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: One of the most beautiful and moving books I've read
Review: I started reading this on the plane the other day and I ended up finishing it the same day. It takes a little while to get going, about 100 pages, but after that you won't be able to put it down.

Apparently, many of the other readers here were greatly affected by the book. It really is a wonderful story. I have a very low tolerance for preachiness and false niceness which is all too common in popular novels. However, the words and ideas in this book ring true. The experiences seem very real, not created by the author simply to force his views on life on us.

If I had any criticism of the book, its that I wish he had explored the boundaries of the replay condition more fully. But its still a wonderful book and I'm sure in ten years I'll remember its message while forgetting any quibbles I have about it.
