Rating: Summary: Awesome Review: Ah yes. The best of the Dragonlance Books. The first set of course hold their own, but the fact that the authors and the readers are introducing themselves to Krynn and our intrepid heros, they (the stories, the characters, etc.) are not as strongly presented as they are in the second trilogy. I am biased a bit as Raistlan is my favorite character and really the first trilogy does not do him justice until the very end. As for the books (not the short story collections and spin off novels) that come after Dragons of Summer Flame and the Lost Souls trilogy, don't bother. Too much of what made Krynn Krynn was lost and I don't think even the original authors (Hick and Weis) can bring it back. I think Krynn died with our original Heros of Lance, and the Legend of the Twins are our "glory years". Most definitly buy this set along with the Dragonlance Chronicles, but stop there and enjoy.

Rating: Summary: What this book really is ... Review: Another review here suggests something entirely different from what this book really is. No it's not a the LEGENDS fiction trilogy that Margaret Weis authored. It is actually a short story anthology edited by Margaret Weis. This is an anthology of short stories based on myths and legends. Authors include: Kristine Kathryn Rusch, Dennis L. McKiernan, Micky Zucker Reichert, Deborah Turner Harris, and many more fantasy fiction authors. This is an excellent read that satisfies the urge to read historical fantasy without having to pick up a doorstopper novel. I highly recommend this book!

Rating: Summary: Dragonlance Review: I've always been a Tolkien and Lewis fan and have wanted some modern day authors who had the same stuff. Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman have taken that place. Anyone who likes a good adventure like The Lord of the Rings would enjoy the Dragonlance trilogies immensely. I find myself coming back to these books every once in a while, too. It's the classic Good vs. Evil in a grand epic, the likes of which I've only seen with Tolkien and Lewis and a few others.
Rating: Summary: Legends Trilogy Review: Legends is the first of Margaret Weis' thematically linked stories from "The Eternal Archives." The linked material is a very slender and slight suggestion that all of the stories are culled from a mystical Library. The Stories themselves range in tone and subject, from Lindskold's treatment of a Chinese mythological fable of the white tiger to stories of subjects as diverse in subject as Ancient Egypt, and a water-nymph infatuated with a U-boat Captain. A decidedly mixed bag of tales, slightly better than average on the whole.

Rating: Summary: FANTASTIC!!! Review: The Legends Trilogy- the Time of The Twins, the War of the Twins, and Test of the Twins, is the sequel to The Chronicles Trilogy- Dragons of Autumn Twilight, Dragons of Winter Night, and Dragons of Spring Dawning, which brings to life the ultimate battle between Good and Evil in the magical World of Krynn. The books are so incredibly well written that the reader feels that they have been transported to another plane of existence and are actually present among the characters, seeing what they see, feeling what they feel, sensing what they sense. The authors Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman have truly outdone themselves and have presented us with a masterpiece of literature the likes of which we have seen only in JRR Tolkien's work and RA Salvatore's The Dark Elf and Icewind Dale trilogies. Duty, honor, bravery, magic, dragons and heroes are all about. One should seriously start thinking about maybe turning them into movies...
Rating: Summary: Legends Trilogy Review: The previous reviewer has this box set mixed up with another book. This box set contains 3 Dragonlance books from the legends Trilogy, which takes place after the Dragonlance Chronicles. Its the second trilogy in the Dragonlance series of books. It contains the books: Time of the Twins, War of the Twins, and Test of the Twins. These were excellent books but i recommend you read the Dragonlance Chronicles before you read these as they will give you a better understanding of the characters.
