Summary: Not the greatest follow up.....
Review: I felt like this book was put out to keep us readers off Jordans back. It didn't involve all of the main characters and it was not as action packed as his previous books. -ANDY

Summary: It's been downhill since TFOH
Review: I've noticed that the books have become less-entertaining since The Fires of Heaven. Too many things going on that does not advance the plot. Surely Sevanna and the Shaido could/should have been resolved by the end of LoC. The author seems to be dragging things out a bit. I prefer the pace of The Great Hunt. Lots of new revelations, actions, and resolutions at the end of that one. Padan Fain should have been resolved a long time ago. At least one or two of the kids should get killed. Preferably Aviendha, or Galad, or Faile.

Review: I'm sorry, I'm a huge fan of the Robert Jordan Wheel Of Time Series, but frankly Book 8 is only good for a doorstop. Why did you bother releasing this one RJ? The conclusion of book seven left a lot of unresolved issues that had me eagerly awaiting book eight, i.e. What happened to Mat or Oliver and what about the hints that perhaps Morraine isn't as dead as she appears? I found book eight incredibly slow reading and disappointing, please someone explain to me why RJ would introduce new characters at this stage in the series, without so much as a hint of them beforehand. Sorry Robert, not one of your best efforts, lets hope book 9 in the series goes somewhere, or my collection will go in bin.

Summary: Not that lame..but pretty close.
Review: I will be honest. This book was far from the greatest thing I ever read. But, at the same time, I felt at ease reading it due to the fact that I was able to spend some quality time with the characters that I grew so close to in the previous novels. The book was too short, too slow, and at times too boring, but, you have to admit.....8 books is a lot to write for one story. I think anyone would be getting bored after writing that many books. I just hope that the 9th book is worth the price.

Summary: Out of 8 books .. this one is the worst.
Review: Narrow and deep. This has to be the most plodding book since the Rise and Fall of the Third Reich. For goodness sake what happened to the story??

RJ has introduced more characters than I can keep track of. At the same time his glossary and character index has gotten smaller.

The only reason I bought this one is I'm hooked.

If #9 is awful you can find my collection in our next yard sale.

Summary: Hopefully there's eight more.
Review: I would like to suggest to the readers who are impatiently awaiting the end of this series, go rent a two hour movie. If I'm not entirely incorrect, don't most of us readers pick up these books with the expectation of becoming fully immersed in the world these authors create, so we can forget the monotony in which we sometimes live. Robert Jordan has done this for us, in ALL eight books, with a brilliance few are capable of executing. So I ask, "Who would want to stop visiting a place we all love to enjoy?" Read Melanie Rawn's Dragon Prince and Dragon Star series and you'll understand why I believe so. I rue the fact that I can no longer follow the lives of the characters,(which once reading you will end feeling you know them as friends), she has brought to life. To Mr. Jordan, "Please do not be persuaded by the readers who feel life is always about a conclusion, and continue with the great work you have created."

Review: I thought this book was cool. The only thing is that I really wanted to know what happened to Mat. He is my favorite character.

Summary: HE HAS DONE IT AGAIN.
Review: you wil not be disapointed. "The Path of Daggers" is a true Robert Jordan. it captures you, thrilles you, and in the end leaves you longing for a sequel. when i finaly got "The Path of Daggers" (i had been waiting forever it seemed), i found the book to be impressive no doubt about that. But it is a teaser. You are caught up in the intrigues, and battels, and suddenly and without warning the book ends. It has a tremendous litteray effekt, but i want to know the end of the story. As the lack of a nr. 9 is the onley criticisem i have got towards "The Wheel Of Time" i can warmly recomend the books.

Summary: POD is a sorry addition to the series
Review: Believe it or not, i actually had to FORCE myself to go through book 8 in detail so i would not lose the plot...it was THAT boring....thought Mr Jordan made me wait to sorry years for it, i will forgive him cos of the 7 worthy journeys he has taken me on before..i will keep continuing waiting for his books (not too long i hope) i do hope it won't turn out like Book 8...it is too long for Mat to disappear totally in one book..and why is Min acting more and more like a whining bimbo who DOES answer at every beck and call of Rand's? i truly like her in comparison to ELayne and Aviendha..but pls give her some dignity and pride...all in all i do hope MR Jordan does not tire in his continuation of his series and loses ihs magic in weaving out his webs of fantasy.and i know its hard..but pls hurry.:)....

Summary: WOW, ...
Review: ...what is RJ thinking by letting this be published? The first five books came out at about an even pace, then it took just a little longer for six and seven, with a slight drop in quality. But eight has sunk to a new low, a finite amount of monkeys on a deadline could have written a better book. Now some of the reviews seem to want the story to end by the next book, I could take three or four more, but at this pace, it will take 100. L. Ron Hubbard wrote a 10 volume story, and it was published after he died, but the merit behind his work is that he sat on it until it was finished, then each hardcover could be published every three or four months, NOT LIKE THE TWO YEARS I HAD TO WAIT FOR THIS PIECE OF TRASH!!! I had heard around the time RJ wrote the Fallon Blood, that he was getting bored with the WOT, well he should have realized that before undertaking this journey. My solution for him is this:

1. Think about how he would want the story to end.

2. Work Backwards.

3. Make the backwards part and book 8 mesh.

4. Write each chapter's title and plot on a 3X5 card.

5. Hire a ton of authors.

6. Give each author a stack of 3X5 cards, and the first 8 books. Make them read the books, then read all the 3X5's.

7. Next have these authors write the specified chapters.

8. Hire a ton of RJ fans to read the proposed chapters.

9. Have the authors re write the bad parts.

10. Let RJ make all the semi - final edits.

11. Give the editors at TOR the final say as to what is and is not published.

I mean hey, he can find a ton of authors who love rewriting storylines from other peoples stories, just look at Kevin Anderson, and how he trashed the Star Wars novels. Like he could really damage RJ's books now.
