Summary: A comment, or two..
Review: I find it really hard to believe that so many people find this book to be so bad. As with all novels, the repetition of names and places gets a little redundant, but with this series the story and plot at least move on. I mean, come on people. This whole series is about the possible end of a universes existence as they know it. It's not like the whole story and plot can just fly by in a few simple words and still have the same effect. Robert Jordans writing in this novel is as wonderfully enchanting as it was in all the rest. He takes each little part of the story and makes it matter, like it's supposed to. If that's too difficult for you to comprehend or appreciate, then go read some Dr. Seuss. And for anyone who dared/dares to write a negative comment on the novel, before you do, I dare you to write the book better yourself. I double dare you.

Summary: Disappointing, but not so bad
Review: I've just recently read all of the WoT books again and I found this one a little disappointing. First of all, I need the glossary to be expanded to include all the minor characters. It was just too much to try to keep track of all of the Aes Sedai, Wise Ones, etc. Secondly, I'd like Nynaeve to grow up a bit. Third, could we possibly have a few explanations? It's kind of annoying not to know which side Verin happens to be on, why the hell Dashiva turned against Rand, who these new forsaken are, and who Sheriam is reporting to. Finally, could we get a few of these plot twists solved? For example, could the Aes Sedai decide whom to follow? Don't get me wrong here. I like the book, but I prefer some of the earlier volumes. I think that RJ needs to look at his earlier books and see how they compare to PoD. PoD is okay, but it was a let down, even after CoS, which I thought was going to be the low of the series. I don't think that RJ can end this series in a book or two, but I hope that he can give us a glimpse of it on the horizon in book 9. By the way, I keep having this sinking feeling that Rand is going to keep having half control of his mind for a while. I pray I'm wrong. Some things I liked in PoD: White Tower scenario might be almost at a close, Masema problem has an ending in sight hopefully, Elayne FINALLY got to Caemlyn. I just hope there's more I like in #9.

Summary: What should I say?
Review: To be honest, I haven't read the whole book yet. But the story continues and I love to read what happens to Perin. Not Rand is my big hero, but Perin. Maybe it is because of the link with Tolkien's 'Lord of the Ring', one of my altime favorits. The only objection I have against the Wheel of Time is that the story is so long. Jordan is now working on book 9 (I suppose), but I can't even remember what happened in the first 5 books. I'm a student and at the moment I don't have that much time to read. I started in book 8 a long time ago, but - at the moment - I can't even remember what happened. For Jordan, please continue. You can say that my feelings are dubbel. On the one hand I want the story the end (after 8 books nothing more than logic) and I want him to continue. I read a lot of fantasy books and this serie is definately one of the best. Unfortunately for Jordan, for me Tolkien is still number ONE. So you can see this is not really a review. When I finished the book I will (perhaps) write another one. For now, I'm looking forward to my summerholiday to read the whole book in a couple of days. And - to be honest - I'm already looking forward to the new one. Jordan, don't keep us waiting so long this time. At least, if you don't want us the re-read the other ones.

Summary: A great book and a great continuation of the series
Review: allright everybdy...why are you nsulting Robert Jordan...he is my favrite auther and a brilliant writer...those of you who are angry at the plot of this book don't know what you are talking about. Jordan is not going about with no aim..he has already made an ending which part of can be seen on the web...I loved this book...it was one of my favrites..not as good as CoS but very good...personly I think the series is only gettinbg better. Also how can you yell at Jordan for writing a long series...look at the hundreds of plots and lands involved and amagine how much work it takes to keep hundreds of plots going and maturind to a good conclusion. This series may have 2 or 10 moe books in it but ither way I am surer it will be great so I am asking all of you to give jordan a chance and stop complaining aabout his wondertfull books..you most defintly could not do better..Irecomend this book to everyone and anyone

PS. I personly like the politics and details..it makes you seem like you are their and makes the book seem real...in a real world politics play as important a role sas fighting...and their exciting

I feel Jordan has defintly surpassed Tolkien

Summary: Boring
Review: Nothing happens during the entire book. Some of the main characters hardly appear for more than a brief chapter or so. Save yourself a week's trouble and get a friend to tell you the little that happens, then wait for the next one. A MAJOR letdown after waiting several years since the last volume.

Summary: A boring and uninteresting romance novel
Review: This book unfortunately has nothing to do with epic fantasy... maybe 100 pages are devoted to it, if that. The other 500 or 600 (I easily lose count...) are devoted to romantic writing dealing with what Suian thinks of Bryne, what Egwene thinks of Gawyn, what Egwene thinks of what Suian thinks of Bryne, what Faile thinks of Perrin, what Perrin thinks of Faile, what Nynaeve thinks of Lan, what Rand thinks Min, Elayne, and/or Aviendha, what Elayne thinks of the situation with her and Min and Aviendha, what Aviendha thinks about wetlanders, various descriptions of how this or that woman is "more handsome than beautiful", blahblahblahblahblahblahblah... and so on and so forth. What is really unfortunate is that we actually already all that - good grief, why not publish all that garbage in the worthless picture book they came out with and skip the excessively longwinded and no-longer-original descriptions, and just finish the freakin' story? I fear that Jordan has managed to come up with so many story threads that now he can fill up 800 pages by doing nothing more than recapping where the story left off before.... and not actually continue it at all. That's essentially what he has done here... don't buy this, even if you're a big fan... instead, find a quick synopsis of the book, so you know where things are when the next one comes out.

Summary: Disappointed, but hooked..
Review: I read the first book, Eye of the World, when first released. I was hooked. I have loved every book since then... except for Path of Daggers. I waited and waited for its release and the disappointment was crushing. Where was the intrigue, the sense of mystery? Why write this filler book? My advice to Mr. Jordan is to finish the series, give up the money he makes by waiting to release a book (hoping we will convince our friends to begin the series), and salvage his place in literary history. I no longer respect the work, but as I said, I'm hooked. I'll buy the rest.

Summary: Dull Dull Dull
Review: This book was very DULL, what happened to the story line? He put too much time on the damn women, and where was Matt? Rand fights Dashva(spelling) whats with that? this book just went down a twisted path! Too much talk and no action. I hope the next one is better!!!!!!!!

Summary: Hurry up & end it already!
Review: The story is getting stale & redundant. What started as a series that shone with vivid imagination, stunning characters, scenes that provoked the senses, is beginning to whimper. Please, Mr Jordan, end it already, before I forget the very reason I loved the Wheel of Time series.
