Rating: Summary: After??????? Review: There are too many reviews out there that say the same thing about this book. All I can say is that what the heck was the final chapter? To me the final chapter sounded like Mr. Jordan got tired of the series, and wanted to try and finish it without finishing. Wrap up everything in rumors. I started reading the series 2 weeks ago, and have read everything except shadow rising. It is a great story, but this . . this is disapointing!
Rating: Summary: A really great book Review: This book is great, like the others in the wheel of time. you should read it if you haven't done it. I'm re-reading the wheel of time now, and it's even better than i remembered it to be. But i am wondering when the next book comes... anybody who knows?
Rating: Summary: It's like eating one potato chip... Review: To the one star people, if you have read the eight books to this point I don't understand why you are complaining! If it was such a boring series you should have put it down by the second book! The Wheel of Time ROCKS!!!
Rating: Summary: Asymptotically approaching a standstill.... Review: ___After receiving the Lord of Chaos for a Christmas present, and never actually hearing of Robert Jordan, I decided to delve in to the book and discover what mysteries it might. Although at first I was assaulted by a barrage of undistinguishable new words, characters and phrases, I became unusually addicted. After reading all of Jordan's books, I must say that action has slowed down exponentially. In the Path of Daggers, I could summarize the plot in a paragraph. I don't think I can stand anymore cantankerous woman development character, and I wish that Jordan would revert back to his original state of equilibrium of action, plot, and character development.______________________
Rating: Summary: Greatest Wheel of Time book yet!!!!!!! Review: This book may be one of the shorter wheel of time novels but it is by far the best out of the series. Jordan makes the novel better than the rest because he creates so many things at once in the book. In my opinion by this book IMMEDIATLY!
Rating: Summary: One of the best! Review: This book was really good. I read every one else's review and expected to hate the book, but when I started reading it I couldn't put it down!!! This is one of the best of the series!!!
Rating: Summary: Not his best, nor his worst Review: I've been hearing people complain about Path of Daggers for a long time now. No, it is not the best book in the series, but neither is it really all that bad. Jordan is taking a long time with this one, but he has created several complex storylines and I think he needs to finish them all before he concludes the main storyline. That means the Seanchen, the Prophet, the split in the White Tower, all of it. I was dissapointed that he didn't mention Mat, but that could have been because he is still working on Mat or intends for him to be featured in the next book. After all, Rand got ignored (not completely, but mostly) in The Dragon Reborn, and Perrin has been ignored before, so I guess it's Mat's turn. He'll be back. I just wish that Jordan would start focusing each book on concluding his storylines or at least advance them more quickly. I don't mind there being more books in the series, just as long as they are helping to end all the storylines going on.
Rating: Summary: Long on detail, short on plot. Review: Reader, if you haven't already read the first books in the series, as I hadn't, don't even try to read this book. It's like opening up your door and finding that gravity is now at 45%. You are injected into a scenario where you are assailed with dozens of unfamiliar names and terms (in italics). Each scene is related in extreme detail, including the facial expressions and body language (and, sometimes, thoughts) of each participant in the scene-sometimes as many as a half dozen. There is so much detail that the main character (I assume), Lord Dragon, is not encountered until almost half way through the book. This author is undoubtedly brilliant, and there is no shortage of creativity in this work, but a goodkind of author has more action in 10 pages and Homer (Illiad, Oddessy) in 2.
Rating: Summary: just when you thought it couldn't get any better.... wham, Review: Robert Jordan is one of the best authors i've ever had the privelage to read. And he is still getting better, although some people seem to think that this book wasn't as good as some of the previous books, i think this is because they are frustrated at the fact that they have to wait and find out in sometimes a very long while what is the next to happen in the wonderful world of 'The Dragon Reborn'...
Rating: Summary: A bit of quite in raging madness Review: Considering all previous books of this series, a little step back was surly needed. For those who enjoy reading about developing characters this is the greatest work yet. On the other hand, while the previous books contained lots of action, a little quite in between the wars and madness in the World seems only fair to create one blazing ending for the entire series. The charactres are well put-forth, and I'll only enjoy reading Jordan books more after the Path of Daggers. I can't wait for the next issue of the Wheel-series.
