Summary: Not up to par.
Review: As a reader who anxiously counted the days and hours until the release of POD and who has read the previous 7 book multiple times I must admit my dissappointment with the quality of Jordan's lateset work. Maybe I was expecting too much, but I firmly believe that this book could have been shortened by half. It was very dissapointing and gave the impression of running in place. I only have two questions. Did you rush this book to make a buck? What happened to Mat?

Summary: A "tweener" Through and Through: Amazing Series, good book
Review: Jordan has quite a problem on his hands. I think that he has four or five more books of ideas and only these characters to work with. All of the players in the "wheel of time" are amazingly developed, but I think that I am ready for two and only two more books, one setting up the Last Battle and then a book about the battle itself. There are already enough characters so adding any more would be confusing and would muddy the pool of dynamic personalities, and the books have all but lost their charasmatic fervor. I think it is time for Jordan to work with what he has established, and finish the series with the same panicked intensity that was expressed in the Great Hunt. wait a few years....Then write a selection of incidental stories about the individual characters in the books so that he does not feel like he has left anything out.

Gripes: 1) Has anyone noticed that the male heros in this book are all ridiculously tall. What happened to a regular sized male with with a larger than life persona. Is that not possible? 2) I am getting a bit tired with women falling in love with Rand "the man". I think Mat is a perfectly nice guy, and how about showing the young women as emotionally stable. 3) Thousands of pages, tens of characters, and everyone is white. The only person who has the the possibility of being anything but white is Gaidal Cain. And he is the ugliest man in the entire series. All and all, great series, but in order to broaden the readership these things should probably be kept in mind. I guess I just think that an epic tale of this quality (and quantity) should exhibit a bit of cultrally diversity, instead of just Cairhein as France and Andor as England.

Summary: Oy, get on with it!
Review: Never before have I read a book so large with so little forward action or information! Don't get me wrong, I AM enjoying the series. But this story should have been finished at least 3 books ago. My advice, wait for the paperback.

Summary: An endless rip-off
Review: I will not be buying any more of Mr Jordan's endless series of books. I begin to wonder whether he himself has any ideas where the plot is going, or whether the readers should be the ones that are called The Forsaken. Please, please, if Mr Jordan or any of those who are connected to him read this - stop milking the public for their money and return to writing good fantasy stories.

Summary: Jordans Path of Daggers is the best Fantasy book this year.
Review: In the Path of Daggers, the eight book in the Wheel of Time series, the world of Rand Al'Thor and his friends is reborne. within this compelling fantasy, Rand renews his battle with the Seanchan, Egwene readies the Aes Sedai rebbles,Nynaeve and Elayne use the bowl of winds, and Perrin finds the Prophet for Rand while he unkowingly hires the former queen of Andor. This is definitly Jordans best work and it is a must read!

Summary: What a disappointment.
Review: If it were possible to rate a 0 star, I would have done so. PoD jumps from one event to another without much of a direction whatsoever. There was no coherence in the story (if there ever was a story). I don't know what Mr. Jordan was thinking when he made this book. I hope the succeeding titles are not as bad (or worse).

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: A little bit to long
Review: When I say that I think the book is to long, don't get me wrong. I love Jordan's work, but he has the tendence to describe scenerys too much, especially in the later books of the serie. I think this serie is the best even better than Tolkiens, but that is a (fiver) to. I can say that I got very dissapointed when a learned that Mat, one of the main characters didn't show up, he was only mentioned once of twice and that troubles me, cause I think he is the best of them all. But please, read this one, and all the rest of the cycle, it's worth it, belive me...

Summary: It was his worst book so far and it was still good.
Review: It was his shortest and most unfulfilling book.He started a tale and didn't finish it in the book.I am going to wait untill the next one though,it ought to be damn good concidering how he set it up in Path of Dagger's.

Summary: Gimli and Legolas predicted this...
Review: After reviewing a number of the others' reviews online, the only thing that surprises me is that the overall "score" is 3 + stars. This is a lousy book. It took longer to produce than the others, it continues the downward spiral begun several books ago PLUS did anyone notice that the font/type size was 'WAY larger than previous books? Looked like a big book, but it was a fake job just like the never-ending story lines. Does anyone really CARE what Nynaeve thinks of some other strong-minded woman? Or of anything, for that matter? Does anyone else want to just knock her over the head and shut her up?? Are any of these characters ever going to develop an adult relationship with the opposite sex? Is anyone surprised that the only bio detail on the fly leaf is the fact that Jordan graduated from the Citadel?? I'm afraid I've read my last Jordan book. Too bad -- he started strong and then dwindled. (gosh, didn't Gimli and Legolas have this conversation on the streets of Gondor??)

Summary: Anyone could write junk like this.
Review: TEotW was the best fantasy book ever, yet PoD is the worst WoT book to date. How can this be! Mr. Jordan you have established over 1,000 characters now--but half do nothing more than play with themselves. Give us action, fighting, war. We don't want tel-a-something dream land mumbo jumbo.

Do you really need to talk about sa/normal angreal in every book.? Who is who, why can't you tell us. You don't even tell us who is dead or alive. We have a right to KNOW. No other author hides his characters ID from his readers. No one has a clue as to what Verin is all about and its madning.
