Summary: My favorite work of fiction.
Review: I first read this book in junior high school and have had an on-going love affair with it ever since then. T. H. White used the Arthurian myths to make timeless comments on life, love, innocence and human destiny. This wonderful book gets better each time I read it -- and I'm on my tenth read now.

Summary: This is the book with something for everyone!
Review: It has romance, action, adventure, fantasy, historical fiction! Every insationable thirst for a good book will be quenched thoroughly! I've never enjoyed a "required reading" book for class so much! I highly recommend this book to anyone fascinated with the classic tale of King Arthur, or anyone looking for a good read!

Summary: 10 STARS!
Review: Only my favorite book of all time. If I had to be stranded on a desert island with only one book this would be the book. I first read it as a college freshman nearly 30 years ago and have probably read it at least 15 times since then. It's one of those books I must go back and re-read at least every 2 years or so.

Summary: Making an old legend new again
Review: It's not often that I'm treated to a novel that keeps me flying. White manages to inject new life into a story we've all heard. I hated getting to the inevitable ending. Fortunately, there's a twist to it all, and even though one knows how it ends, you're sad to see it go, but you wouldn't have it any other way.

Summary: This book ranks up there with one of the best fantasy sagas.
Review: This book is absolutely phenomenal. T.H. White took the Arthurian Legends and compiled them into one book that was meant for even children to understand. Only a complete moron wouldn't understand it. It is nicely written and has a very good plot. It's everything that Camelot ever was.

Summary: WARNING! DO NOT READ THIS BOOK UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE BORED!
Review: When I read this book I found it to be the most boring book in the world. I could not understand what I was reading because my mind would just trail off into outerspace from sheer boredom. DO NOT READ THIS BOOK UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE BORED! IT DESERVES LESS THAN A ONE.

Summary: A marvelous twist on the Arthurian tales-
Review: Those who have seen the movies Sword In The Stone or Camelot will undoubtedly recognize the stories. Arthur learns that might should be used for right and finds wisdom through the teachings and lessons of Merlyn. His biggest mistake at the beginning of his reign was what brought about the end of his reign years later.Sir Lancelot comes across as a well-rounded character whose exploits were truly the kind that legends are made from.At the end of the last book, when Arthur tells the page to live and keep alive the memories of Camelot,I had the sense that this was the end of Arthur the man-and the beginning of Arthur the Legend.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: It's good, but boring
Review: I read the whole book becuase I was interested in King Arthur, but I found it boring and hard to understand, but the facts are good.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Intreging, interesting, humorous, entertaining, imaginative!
Review: I though The Once and Future King was excellent because I told the real, uncut, tale of the true Arthur Pendragon and the Knights of the Round Table, along with the significance of it. Although T.O.A.F.K was boring in certain chapters, I think it gave you alot of insight into the life and times of King Arthur as well as more or less tell and show you that he was a real person with feelings and hang-ups just like the rest of us in this world. All in all I greatly loved and appreciated the novel.
