Summary: Jordan amazes my Heart and Mind once again
Review: This book is great, Jordan writes magic. When I read the books I find myself so enthralled I wake up (so to speak) from his world hours later but yet, it seems much longer. In this book Rand has to unite the Aiel under him, as the Prophecy says. I see this book as The Dragon Reborn proving who he is. Prophecy is fullfilled and the people of Jordan's world are starting to believe in him. I am ordering the next book in the series as of this very moment! I will finish the series, of this I have no doubt at all. I also recommend that you finish the series. If you find it becoming boring or off the plot, remember that books require more then just a Reader, they require an Imagination.

Summary: Most interesting book of the series.
Review: We finally get some big glimpses back into the age of legends and the history of the Aiel. Very interesting. I love this kind of stuff.

Summary: Jordan doesn't disappoint
Review: The Shadow Rising provides an excellent read and may be the best the series has seen. Characters are developed further, (though he may be getting carried away with Nynaeve) and the focus of the book is on the Shadow, and not on some sidetracked story.(a.k.a The Dragon Reborn)

Summary: The Best Book of The Series up to now
Review: In my opinion, while writing Book #4 of the Wheel of Time Series, Robert Jordan has outdone himself. The plot is well-developed and the author gives equal attention to the deeds of all characters. The story - line moves slowly but firmly, leaving unanswered just a couple of questions. Though Book #4 is more tightly connected with its sequel than the preceeding books of the series, it is clearly the one in which the reason for the Battle against the Dark One is specified thoroughly. When making alliance of all eight books in the series - the frist three could be viewed as Introductory, and with Book 4 starts the real part. It poses questions to be resolved later -in books 5, 6, 7, 8, etc. and at the same time answers almost all vague story - line problems, which were left unanswered in the preceeding books.

It's definitely better than all its prequels!!!

Summary: Jordan's the master of plot
Review: I give this one 4 stars only because it seemed to drag a little more than the first three. But don't get me wrong, 4 stars and 'seemed to drag a little' mean that in comparison to other books of the genre it is a 5 star book. The plot merely gets thicker and may test some, but those who emerge find an awesome climax that will leave many loose ends (like any good epic series) and will have you begging for more.

Summary: Just ain't what it used to be
Review: This is just a terrible book. That's too bad, because the first three were so good. Robert Jordan tries to put too much romance in this one, and it comes across as lame. The plot isn't nearly as epic or dramatic as the previous three. This book, in fact, has caused me to stop reading the series. For newcomers, I reccomend reading the first 3 books. For fans looking into #4, skip it.

Summary: Going downhill...
Review: The first book in this series grabbed my attention and had me excited about the fact that I had found what I hoped to be a great series. Then I read the second book, and while it was okay, it was not as good as the first. To make a long story short, I've just finished this book, the fourth in the series, and well...yawn, quite frankly, I'm getting bored. At first, the quirky characteristics of some of the "people" in the book added to their depth and made them "real." But come on now!...what's the fascination with someone pulling on their darned braid every few minutes! I say just cut the darned thing off already so we can move on! I'm also sick of the frequent references made about how Rand Al'Thor used to be no more than...blah, blah, blah, and now he's acting like he's a Lord. If the characters haven't figured out by now that the guy has grown, then its a sad story. Now while I do have my gripes about the story, it's only fair to say that the book did have its interesting moments. In fact, some of those moments were darned good. Perrin came into his own -- or is getting there, and Matt had to get himself out of a few sticky situations. But it could have been better. In any event, since I checked book 4 and 5 out of the library at the same time, I'll give the 5th book a chance to grab my attention. My fingers are crossed for the best because Jordan is a decent writer. However, his tendency to bombard readers with just a little too much detail is slowing down what could be a very good story! (I listened to the unabridged version of this book -- all 29 tapes which added up to 43.5 hours of listening time).

Summary: Fast paced and exiting.
Review: The book reveals many new developments and every chapter seems like a little story of its own. lets you get inside the thoughs and interests of the characters.Enough to keep you up late at night wanting to read more and more. It is very satisfying to read it. Definetly a keeper.

Summary: This is a great book!
Review: I love this book as well as the ones in the rest of the series. I think that Jordan's writing really takes the reader there and lets him imagine what is going on in the book. I hope that he keeps writing.

Summary: Great Book! One of the best I've read ever!
Review: Great Book! Everyone should read the WoT series. This series is the best I've ever read before in my life. It's better than the Piers Anthony Xanth Series.
