Rating: Summary: Awsome Review: When I bought the book I was totally into it. I read it non stop and finshed it in a three and a half. I would recomened this book unless you don't like killing and swearing.
Rating: Summary: Halo Review: I really like this book because it was like I was I was really on the planet Halo fighting to survive the from the evil aliens. It was confusing at first because the words where kind of big and I didn't understand, but thats what the dictionary is for.Hehe. This book is also exciting, because you get to read about killing aliens. The book's main character is named John who is a super soldier and one of he best.He has a steel suit that makes him stronger and faster. What I liked the most in this book was the action and the new words in it.I got to learn some new words that i didn't know before. I recommend this book to all ages because it is soooooooooo cool.In fact it's so good i'm reading it again.
Rating: Summary: this book kicks butt Review: this book will knock you off your feet it has action, suspence, and hard core drama
Rating: Summary: I went through another world reading this VIDEO GAME book Review: Ok.To the point. I never played Halo yet. Then after I saw a novel about Halo:Fall of Reach..I usually call Video Game Novel "Book Crisis..Dont Read" (A rule number7 towards Borders or Barnes And Nobles).Seeing everyones review I needed to prove them wrong dat this book is another horrible book.. I slammed into my computer,Spent 3 dollars and then snapped the box open and ripped out the book from the Box.. Then read it like an maniac so I can prove everyone that this book stunk..From this point I proved myself wrong..This isnt a Walkthrough of a videogame or neither TIPS AND CHEATS..Its a Story about a Spartan Super Soldier. and tells you every aspect about the games prequal.. This is a book that you can eat off of. When I looked at it I got hooked..bad.. Then it just took me in another world where Alians are attacking and Humans injured in towards a cinematic where you go dizzy with emotional touches..Even thou it has some few boring scripts it was a suck it up book.. At the end..I proved myself wrong..
Rating: Summary: Pocket PC users BEWARE! You will not be able to open!!!!!!! Review: I ask you to please read this MAJOR gripe before passing judgement on me. I purchased a PocketPC for many reasons - but I was surprised when reading ebooks became my personal "killer application." Well, I have been majorly frustrated by technical snafu after technical snafu. Once I am able to successfully open an e-book on my pocketPC - I enjoy the heck out of backlit reading!!! I was unable to open the Microsoft Reader version of "Halo: The Fall of Reach" on my PocketPC - after trying everything and sending countless emails!!! So I decided to migrate to the Adobe reader version. I am hereby notifying you PocketPC users - DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE! I have just found out the HARD WAY - that Adobe's PocketPC reader is a useless piece of code. Adobe's forums explain IN DETAIL how the public (you and I) are duped into paying for Adobe ebooks with the expectation that we'll be able to read them from our PocketPC's. Forget it! You will only be able to read the book on your desktop using Adobe Reader 6.0, but any version you download to your PocketPC will give your the "unable to decrypt" error message. We are all guinea pigs in this grand experiment called "ebooks." I assure you that the industry knows of the flaws and technical snafus, but are more than willing to let you PAY to discover these for yourself. Please do not buy this ebook with the expectation of reading it from your trusty PocketPC.
Rating: Summary: Great book Review: I half expected this book to be more like a documentary or something, but I was pleasantly suprised to find that it was a very cool story. If your a Halo fan, get this book now, hurry, you're wasting time. If your simply a fan of science fiction literature, I highly recommend this book, it has all the elements of a good science fiction story. I have always enjoyed star wars books and such, and this was one of the better sci fi books I have read. It gets 5 stars because I am an avid Halo fan as well.
Rating: Summary: Surprisingly a good book Review: You would think that a book related to a video game wouldn't be good, but this book actually is. If you played Halo or are thinking of getting it, this book helps you understand Halo a lot more.
Rating: Summary: More Halo Goodness Review: This book is really good. The best part about it is that it gives you really good information about the stuff you didn't get to see, or experience in the game(since it's a prequel to the game). It gives you background information about Master Chief, Cortana, Captain Keyes, The Covenant, Master Chief's armor(MJOLNIR), The Spartan Project...everything!. The story begins with Master Chief as a kid, so imagine how much it covers...The author also does a great job of keeping the story interesting and original. To anyone that wants to really understand, and expand their knowledge about the world of Halo...Buy it..Now!
Rating: Summary: Outstanding! Review: I bought the book 3 days ago and added it to a pile of 6 other books I still have yet to read. I figured I'd read the opening chapter and pick it up again sometime later. That was a mistake, because I didn't set the book down until I finished reading it completely! For fans of the game Halo, or even general sci fi fans, this book is a great read. I usually don't get into reading sci fi at all. The difference with this book was how the author goes all out in a lot of detail to draw a crystal clear pictures of the characters, surroundings, battles, and everything. I'm a bit nervous about reading the next installment because of the grave reviews. However I am looking forward to the next release in December by Eric S. Nylund, "Halo: First Strike". Other than that Bungie needs to hurry up and release HALO 2!
Rating: Summary: A Fine Sci-Fi Review: I never really enjoyed this kinda sci-fi, where it's earth people going around the galaxy, and always leaned a little bit more towards completely different stories like Star Wars. but this book got me hooked. Now, a kid who once could tell you the complete parts list for any star wars prop, likes HALO stories and the videogame better. Dang, I wish I had an XBOX. Christmas is just too long to wait. Halo books are the best space sci-fi ever written. better than star wars and the other star thing, that's for sure. if ur bored--apparently you are if you took the time to read this review--go out and buy The Fall of Reach.
