Review: I don't usually like to read. I was fairly reluctant when I picked this book up. I had got it just because I liked Halo. Well, since the first page of reading, I just couldn't put the book down. I was so into it, reading this became a priority for me. I LOVED it. Nylund is an awesome author. This book is sweet

Summary: The Fall of Reach falls short of Halo reality
Review: I enjoyed the book it feels in the for what is not know in the video game. But in the video game if u here hit by plasma form a plasma rifle it would not damage u severly unilke the end of the book when the master chief goes one on one with and elite and a elite would not go down so easily in the game. In the book the weaponry used such as the MA5B assult rifle would be able to out grunts with one round a peice in the game the amount of amunition that would be used to kill a grunt would be more. The book also has some false in formation where they say that they made the MJOLNIR capable of deflecting needler rounds even though in the game they are not deflected. I also find it hard to belive that the spartans whent so long with out their sheild in the game halo that it what u rely on the most is your sheild. If the armor is armor then why do u take damage from a round even with ou the sheild. Another part is the book several marines were trying to get to the HQ and trying to out run the covenant at the same time, on the way a banshee sees and begins to engage the marines fleeing in their M 12 LRV or warthog and were following a stream a plasmar ound hit the jeep and the book says that the jeep would have been a gonner if it wasn't for the water that was below them. All im tryin to say is that the book doesn't keep up with what is the reality of the game. If that master cheif was so fast and then how do the marines last that long a gainst the covenant and u still struggle and if ur so fast and u piss off marines on the game when they oben fire they still hit u. The book is good it has plenty of action it fills u in on alot, enjoy it and just dismiss the false reality of the book. AN if ya wanna hit me up u can at [e-mail]

Summary: HALO ROCKS IN ALL ITS INCARNATIONS
Review: After playing the game to death I had a Halo shaped gap in my life which the fall of reach filled. I like sci fi and fantasy books anyway so it wasnt a huge reach (lol) to read this novel. I really enjoyed it, especially learning where the master cheif came from and how hardcore all the spartans were. Anyway if you like Halo or sci fi books you WILL like this so give it a go. PEANUT

If you have played the game Halo, then you'll probably want to read the book Halo: The Fall of Reach. The book tells about what happens before the game. Kind of like background information that helps you understand how the covenant came to be. The planet Reach is a planet that's like a giant military base. The covenant is trying to take over the planet to get the location of earth and wipe the world of the human race. So that the covenant can expand there race.

The first thing I like about the book is how it doesn't go all the way into detail which leaves you imagining. Like for example it says the "creatures", instead of saying the slimy or green creature. The second is how the planets and star systems are real which took a lot of research to find the distances and planet names. For example the planet Reach isn't really a real planet name but it's a real planet with a different name. The third is how the author crated the covenant race. All the characters were created by himself which took him a lot of time. For example the aliens are all different with different personalities.

I would recommend the book to anyone who likes science fiction or anyone who has played the sci-fi shooter Halo. It has very good description and you actually learn a lot about astronomy and some elements. Even if you like fiction you should read this book.

Summary: Excellent Book, and a must have for HALO fans.
Review: I received this less then a week ago from my Amazon.com order, and I just finished this book tonight. It is without a doubt an incredible story. I'm not one for Sci-Fi, but I had a hard time putting this one down. If you are a HALO fan you will love this book, it provides you with the background info you never knew. It ends right where the HALO game picks up. I won't ruin anything or give spoilers to the novel, but this book is a gem. I also picked up "The Flood" and will be starting that one tomorrow. So do yourself a favor, if you love the game, buy it.

Review: ... "Halo the Fall of Reach" is the prequal to the hit xbox game "Halo Combat Evolved." A group of soldiers have been specially bioengineered and technologically augmented(faster and stronger than anyother human) to become warriors known as SPARTANs. They have been trained there whole life to defend Earth from an alien species known as the Covenant. Thier civilization is much more advanced than the human race. The Covenant have been studieng humans for a long time, and they want to take over; but the humans will not let that happen. At least not without a fight.
If you have played the original game, Halo Combat Evolved, from Bungie, then you can say that it is quite an enjoyable game. If you are a HUGE Halo fan I concider reading the prequal, "Halo the Fall of Reach." You will discover many of the mysteries that were not present in the game. You will understand how everything comes together that leads into the game.
I really enjoyed this game. If you have or played the game then this is a must-read for all Halo fans. Even if your not a big fan you should still consider reading this. This is a great science-fiction book and I am planning on reading it again soon.

Review: As a HUGE fan of the game Halo, I could not put this book down until I had read it cover to cover...twice! It answered almost every question I had about Master Chief, the war, the covenent, etc. It is a well written and interesting book in it's own right but if you are even remotely a fan of the game then this book is a must have!!!

Review: In this book it talks about what happened before HALO. The Master Chief is a boy and he is abducted at the age of six. he is put through a grueling training,and was surgically altered. then he recived the mjolnir battle suit. he meets cortana and is fitted into the best suit ever made. this book was the best book i've read in a while. because i'm in R.O.T.C. I understand alot of the military words that are used, like LZ or landing zone.
