Summary: if you ever play the video game, BUY THIS BOOK!!
Review: Where to start...
Well, I picked up this book this afternoon (about 4 hours ago). And now, I'm about 2/3 done with it. About 5 minutes ago my mom confiscated it so that I would start my homework. That's how good of a read this book is. I'm not usually one to read books, so when I find one, it had really better keep my attention, or it'll be back on the shelf pretty quick. If you're confused about the Halo: Combat Evolved (the XBOX game) storyline, then pick up Halo: The Fall of Reach (the book). It explains everything. Don't hesitate! Click the 'Order Now' button, and have this shipped right to your door!!

Summary: Great novel!
Review: I'm not much into reading novels but I read this book for a school assignment and it just blew me away! Everywhere I went, I took this novel along with me. A tremendous amount of great work must've been put into this book! Every page I read, I felt as if I was in the world in this book. The detail of everything was awesome. I could just picture every scene, motion etc. in this book! You'll just enjoy this book!

Summary: ok
Review: Its a great book if you like the game. The book tries to tell about 3 different people so you will be reading about one person and then the next chapter it will be someone else. They don't finish some of the stuff like you will be reading about him in the middle of something then the chapters over and you haft to figure out the rest. Over all it gets 3 stars. If it was just on the main charactor John like the book is about it would get 5 and if it explaind more.

Summary: Like the Master Chief, this book can stand alone!
Review: Eric Nylund is a writer of previous sf/fantasy novels that feature inventive ideas and fast-paced adventure. This book is no exception and could have easily been the first book of a new military sf series rather than a game prelude. Not to take anything away from the game, but this book can stand alone as a fun and engaging sf novel. If you liked this book, definitely check out his novel Signal to Noise. If you've liked Nylund's previous books, don't be concerned that this is a media-tie-in book, get it anyway.

Summary: Great story to understand the game
Review: This is one of the best books I've read in a long time (if not the best) and I usually dont like to read. The Fall of Reach has a great storyline leading up to the game and it couldnt have been done any better. This book is a must for everyone who owns the game to learn how everything came into place, or is great for anyone that likes science fiction/action. Halo's story is definitly the best I've ever seen in a game and this book makes it allot clearer and better.

Summary: Surprisingly Good Pulp Fiction
Review: I recently finished this book while away on vacation, and was very pleasently surprised by how well-written and indeed intriguing and satisfying this book was. I picked it up just before we left, thinking that a little junk pulp fiction would be appropriate by the beach, but let me tell you the book is not mere pulp. It is a prequel to the game, knowledge of or access to the game is not required in order to understand and benefit from the experience. Certainly the book essentially ends where the game begins, but who knows ... the book may lead to a fulfilling experience in front of your tv/xbox combination.

Summary: Extremely Intense
Review: It took me about a month to read Halo:The Fall of Reach and for most books, I always complain about how i dont uderstand what is going on it the book, well this book is the only book that I understanded fully. When I was reading it in school, it was so hard to put it down because it was so intense. I personaly beat Halo in about a month and a half and after I read this book, I understanded the game so much better.

Summary: A must read book!!!!!
Review: This book is the best book I've every read!! it is 340pages and I finished it in 2 days. You have to play the game to know the ending of this story, but I don't care this is a really good book. I hope Eric Nylund writes a second book.
I can't wait!

BUY THIS BOOK!!!!!!

Summary: When is the next book in the "Halo series" coming out ?
Review: This book had me hooked by the 2nd paragraph! Great story, and a wonderful collection of characters. The master chief
was so compelling, he is both terrifyingly brutal one minute and then seems to posess a childlike innocence the next. Excellent! My only complaint is when and where can I get the next book in this saga. Don't tell me I have to play the game to revisit the characters because that's just not the same as reading the wonderful story that Eric Nylund has woven in this book.

Summary: WOW, oh my god, don't end
Review: I have never been a gamer. But i AM an avid reader of very good books. This book makes me want to go out and buy the game just to find out how the rest of the story goes.
Just like his other books it is an intreging, reaching book. Their are many different story lines that follow the different characters. You feel for the charecters and get cought up in the story. Don't discount little details, they're meantioned for a reason.
On a different note it wasn't until i got to the end and read the authors bio-thingy that I realised we had three other of his books. I was so wraped up in the story i didn't twig to the fact. I hope he will write another book for 'Halo'.
