Summary: This is one of the best books I have ever read. Captivating
Review: I first learned of these books in grade school and loved the pictures inside. I was too little to realize what a masterpiece this book really was. You care about what happens to the characters and always want to know what happens next. I just started the 4th book and already I can't wait for a 5th. If you havn't read this book. Do yourself a favor and do so.

Summary: Stephen King's best series keeps getting better
Review: This is a completely awesome series!! I've enjoyed each book and they keep getting better all the time. If you have not read the first two books in the series, (The Gunslinger and The Drawing of the Three) then do so. You won't be sorry. This is not normal Stephen King scary-type stuff. It is more of a mystic tale of the quest for the Dark Tower. King has based the series off of Robert Browning's narrative poem "Childe Roland to the Dark Tower Came." This novel continues the story of Roland, Eddie and Susannah as they start/continue on their quest. And amazingly enough, King does the near impossible by bringing back the character Jake who was killed off in the first novel. It is done in a totally believable and very satisfying way that seems natural and fated. It would be wrong if it had not happened. I don't want to give much away but our quartet is now solidly on the path which leads to the Dark Tower. I am very much looking forward to the next novel in the series!

Summary: King & Flagg Together Again
Review: Here is the Dark Tower installment that really stands out. King back to basics, without all the flowery mumbojumbo he's been stepping into in he recent efforts. Not as tedious as the second book, this is a great prelude to Wizard And Glass, which, to me at least, was as fresh as they come. This is his best work since IT. And here's the catch, kiddies, although the cliffhanger ending left me hanging for something like six years, the re-introduction of Randall Flagg from THE STAND makes this effort all worth while. But for those of you who actually think King's geting closer to the Tower with Roland and his friends, stop lying to yourself, he ain't even close yet. There's gonna be another 1,000,000,000 pages before he's through!!

Summary: Dramatic and pulsing
Review: Out of all four Dark Tower books, this is the best. Let's face it, Stephen King gets paid for writting "boo" on a napkin, his only good books in my opinion are the four Dark Tower series, The Stand, Desperation, Insomnia and Eyes of the Dragon. Even though it's 600 pages, it's all important to the main plot of the series. The only thing that really pisses me off is the damn cliffhanger ending.

Review: I found my self to be in a different world when I read this book. "The Waste Lands" is one of those novels that really stir your imagination and well worth the time spent to read this novel. Brilliant imagination!!!!!!

Review: This is by far the best Dark Tower book out of the four so far. This is probably my favorite Stephen King book. I think it is his best writing. It was exciting and had a great ending.

Review: Surprisingly, this book seemed way too short, although it was physically thick! I read through it more rapidly than most other books, mainly because I could not put it down!

Summary: THE DARK TOWER III is GREAT and THAT IS THE TRUTH.
Review: When this book first came to a bookstore near me, in its Trade Paperback Edition, I had to rush out and pick it up, being a Stephen King Dark Tower Fan and all. It turned-out to be one of the ten best books that I've EVER READ. The whole book was so romantically charged, it seemed to reach a temperature close to that of a fever. King's descriptions were incredibly vivid, especially when he talks about Eddie Dean dreaming that he is in a field filled with the reddest roses, where the Dark Tower is. King's mastery is fully displayed as he's able to go from describing a scene of spectacular beauty to one that is very ominous and suspenseful, when he discusses how the Tower's shadow seems to drown-Eddie-out in its massive presence. Eddie hears a loud sound, like that of a horn, from the very top of the Tower, and we begin to wonder: "Who the HELL is up there?" or -- worse yet -- "What the HELL is up there?" The introduction of Oy, was rather interesting, it added yet another level of human emotion to the story. For we are usually more noble, and less likely to give-up, when we're fighting for someone else (or something else, perhaps a pet, as in this case). The scene in which Oy almost falls from the bridge to Lud. Jake shows that he is determined NOT to let Oy fall, suffering and tolerating the pain -- although he did scream -- of the Billy-Bumbler's bite; Jake is strong, like most of the characters in this series of books. This also proves another point: "Appearances can be deceiving". So, even if Sci-Fi/Fantasy is not your USUAL THING, give the "Dark Tower [Book] Series", and your curiousity will be well-rewarded. By the time you get to this third book (and, yes, it will keep you interested enough to keep you going), this book will find a special place in your heart. What's more to say? The Dark Tower III is a GREAT BOOK, and that is the TRUTH!
