Review: Putting the book down is hard to do. I've read it three times already and can not wait for the fourth book to come out. I hope Mr. King decides to write the fourth book someday in the future. A good author will not leave his readers hanging like that. CW

Summary: Unbelievably awesome
Review: Stephen King outdid himself with this one, but at the same time, he killed the reader by leaving him hanging at the end waiting eternally for the next installment. As the third in the series, you'd think it would get worse, but instead it gets better. I recommend this book as a must read, but only after reading the first two, which are must reads as well. You'll soon find yourself another addict of Roland's world and this series. Awesome.

The path to the rest of the series, explaining even more about the Tower and the path to the tower. The climax to the Dark Tower.

Review: I rushed to purchase The Wastelands when it first came out approx. 7 yrs ago. Since then, I have thoroughly enjoyed this gunslinger installment over and over again. I loved the story of Jake - the plot that leads up to his "re-birth" into Roland's world is pure storytelling genius. Lud and Blaine the pain Mono are exciting, horrific additions to the Dark Tower series. I can't wait until the next book to be swept away to the world where "time has moved on".

Summary: Praise from a non-Stephen King fan
Review: Understand, I am not a Stephen King fan, I've never liked any of his horror books. A friend of mine recommended that I read these books and I was sceptical. I read all 3 books in quick successions, amazed at how they kept getting better and better. I rate "The Wastelands" a 9 hoping against hope that Stephen King will pull it off again and get even better in the next installment. For that, I will gladly give a 10.

Summary: Forget milk! Got "Dark Tower?"
Review: Some could argue that Stephen King is just horror writer, and nothing more. Some would argue that he writes, in the words of my English teacher, junk fiction. I will argue that doesn't write, but creates, forms, and gives birth to entire worlds. Only one other author, in my expierience, has achieved this rank, but this is not a review for the creator of Frodo. In the Dark Tower saga, King has created a world that not only reads real, but seems real. I finished this book disapointed. Not because it was bad, but because I had to return to normal every-day life. I was so emersed in Mid-world, that I would stay up to three o-clock in the a.m. and not realize that I was about to suffer from sleep depravation. His charachters are brilliantly described, with backgrounds that each and every one of us can relate to. His settings are detailed, his descriptions are second to none. I eagerly look forward to the next installment in the Dark Tower saga, and would gladly read twenty more books concerning Roland and Co. Anyone who enjoys reading will want to read these books. But don't take my word on it. Find out for yourself

Summary: The most suspenseful book in the "Dark Tower" series yet!!!
Review: The Wastelands is the best book by far in the Dark Tower Series. I read it in one sitting, and was in a state of constant suspense all the way through. This is the only book to ever leave me on the edge of my seat...for more than four years!!! I can't wait for more of the same, but in the meantime, I will keep reading this book (and the other two) over and over again

Summary: A Mirror of This World
Review: Eerie is one way to describe this marvel of a book. The suspense of Jake coming over to Rolands world kept me turning the page night after night. The plaster man in the haunted mansion was so realistic,I could have been there reaching for the key to open the door to the other side. I cannot wait for number 4 so I can see how their fates are sealed. All in all an excellent book. I would highly recommend it for all you thrill seekers out there
