Review: This book was a terrific read. I read the first book "Island Flame" and this book was even better. I can't believe the reviews are so bad for this! It was such a page turner, I could not put the book down. It gets tiring reading the same type of love stories, that this book was so refreshing in that its not the typical kind of romance that one usually reads. I'm a true Karen Robards fan that almost everyone of her books are fantastic. And I for one am glad that she doesn't write each book the same way.

Review: This is a extemly horrible book, that I have ever read. The hero is not a hero at all. He rape, demands, and very abusive to the heroine. He cheated on her with another woman and expected her to forgive and forget. The heroine is not better than the hero. She let him treated her very badly and does nothing to stop him. She alway says that "I will never gorgive you for that" but she does in the next second. I defently recommend you to not to get this book if you want a good love story.If you want a good love story I recommend Julie Garwood or Jude Devereux.

The heroine is not so great either. she let him beat her and cheated on her. She always said that "I will never forgive you for that" but she does in the next second. I do not recommend this book what so ever. If you want to read a wonderful love story, I recommend Julie Garwood or Jude Deveruax.

Summary: Thoroughly enjoyed it!
Review: While I can see why some of the reviews are not positive ones (rape and verbal abuse abounds), I still enjoyed this book. It wasn't until I finished that I found out this book is a sequel to Island Flame which I just purchased. These two books were written in the early 80's when many historical romance writers wrote about women being taken by force and then falling in love with their captors. I'm glad I've discovered Karen Robards!
