Summary: Hartstone & Saber
Review: A really good first book. Pretty easy to read. Has pretty good smutty parts. it is a little choppy in places, but definately an enjoyable read!!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Entertaining Lesbian Fantasy
Review: Heartstone & Saber is traditional sword & sorcery fare, right down to the language and plot. What's not traditional is that it's obviously written for lesbians to enjoy. I do like finding lesbians in S&S mainstream books like those by Mercedes Lackey, but it's also wonderful to have a book written especially for me. I didn't even know that books like this were being written. It was a wonderful discovery. Heartstone & Saber is exactly what it seems to be, and anyone who enjoys the genre will like it.

Summary: Entertaining Lesbian Fantasy
Review: I found this book very entertaining. The characters were well described and very likable even down to the minor ones. Also, the way the author built up the sexual tension around Cydell and Elayna was breathtaking.
In this novel, both men and women can make their partners pregnant. This is a theme I personally have no problems with. However, I thought that since she went to the trouble of telling us that this was possible, I would have liked a bit more information. Eg. How do the women make each other pregnant? & perhaps even could men also become pregnant? If Jacqui Singleton had elaborated a little more on that topic this book for me would have gone from a very good read to an Excellent one. None-the-less, if you're a lesbian who loves fantasy books with magic spells, dragons and sabers than this book is well worth the read.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Great plot - poor writing
Review: I would love to give the book 4 stars. The characters are likable and the plot is good. However, the writing is very simplistic. I almost felt like I was reading a teen book. But if you feel you can ignore the writing style and concentrate on the storyline, read this book.
