Summary: A good read
Review: This is the first Susan Krinard book I've read. As soon as I finished it, I came on line to order every other book Ms. Krinard has written. Body & Soul is that good. It's easily the best paranormal romance I've ever read and one of the best romances of any type.

Jesse Copeland and David Ventris are two of the most complex, well-developed, truly heroic characters I've encountered in any fiction. Their lives, their very souls, are intertwined as both follow paths of hate, revenge, self-discovery, forgiveness, and love. I cared about them, and I wanted them to have their happiness even when it seemed impossible that they could do so.

This book was not at all what I expected - it was much, much more. Romantic, haunting, and with a depth you won't believe.

Buy it. Read it. You won't be sorry.

Summary: A good read
Review: This was my second Susan Krinard book that I have read. It in no way measured up to Prince of Shadows, but it kept you going if just to find out how they resolved the problem of David being a ghost. There were a few discrepancies in regard to Al, one comment being his "pinned up sleeve" which led you to believe he had lost his arm, but then in another part of the book it mentioned him putting his "hands" around his glass. He supposedly had to walk with a cane, but managed to speed off through the woods... but that is just minor flaws. The book was good, but if you had a decision to make between reading Body and Soul first or Prince of Shadows - please pick Prince of Shadows.

Summary: The Perfect Romance
Review: When Jesse Copeland was a child, her mother, a notorious drunk, allegedly drowned in what was regarded as an accident. Only Jesse thought her mother's lover, the highly regarded Gary Emerson, murdered the woman. For the next sixteen plus years, Jesse struggled to regain her equilibrium, but finally succeeded. Sixteen months ago, Jesse returned to her hometown to join a mountain rescue team.

Everything is working out fine for Jesse until Gary returns to the town, running for state assemblyman. Seeing Gary sparks negative feelings inside of Jesse, who decides it is time to investigate whether he murdered her mother or not. Gary has an agenda also. He knows the only flaw in his run for public office is Jesse and what she truly knows about the death of her mother. Meanwhile, David Ventris, a deadman residing in purgatory has been given a chance to cleanse his soul by righting a wrong he committed to Jesse when she was an early nineteenth century English lady in a previous life.

BODY AND SOUL is an astounding otherworldly romance that should garner awards for the stupendous Sue Krinard, the leading light of the sub-genre. The story line is a crisp combination of elements from the intrigue, paranormal, and historical that under the incredible talent of Ms. Krinard turns into a masterpiece that will be loved by fans of all three sub-genres.
