Summary: The best I've read
Review: I read this book about 22 years ago and would love to have a copy of it again to share with my daughter. I loaned my copy and never got it back. I remember reading it and never putting it down. Read it during meals and even at stoplights. Almost called in sick to work so I could finish it. It's the most captivating and believeable book I've read and I wish there was a way to find a copy again.

Summary: If you know the predictions of Edgar Cayce...
Review: Without fail this is the most captivating book I have ever read, and I read constantly. The story is so believable I began to expect to hear updates on news broadcasts. I have bought this book at least a half-dozen to share with friends. Unfortunately I no longer have a copy for myself; therefore, I hope the book will be reprinted very soon.

Summary: Discovered Again
Review: Cleaning up my book collection I came across my First Edition copy of this book and thought I would check the reviews here. This is one of my all time favorites which explains why I still have a copy after 25 years. I'm anxious to read it again and happy to add my 5 star rating to all the others. The science will have you questioning many things and the story will entertain as few in its class have done. Enjoy one of the all time attention grabbing openings in all of fiction. And every time the power goes off I get a little nervous.

Summary: The HAB Theory
Review: I read this book years ago and found it an interesting theory for a variety of natural oddities that have been found over time and reported in books like those authored by Van Daneken(forgive the spelling). It is rare to find a book that sticks in your mind so long, but so few are written for people who collect those odd little bits of info (such as the needle found in a piece of coal from 2000 ft. underground, etc)that peak your curiousity. This book takes those bits and presents an explanation which, while not provable, certainly sounds possible and is definitely entertaining. Good Reading to All....

Summary: Should have been a non-fiction?
Review: Since I bought this book 23 years ago, I must have read it a couple dozens times. It gave us tons of verified ancient mysteries in virtually every fields of science relating to the history of the earth and its unexplained vanished civilizations. HAB Theory was a postulate which explained the majority of them. In a nutshell, the HAB Theory presented the fact that because of the eccentricity of the North and South Poles to the magnetic poles, it created an imbalance in the rotation of the earth. When this imbalance reached a stage where it overcame the gyroscopic effect of the earth's rotation, the earth would see a near 90 degree shift of its axis of rotation. The result of which would mean that the poles ended up in the equator and the result would be catastrophic to any life form. This phenomenon occured once every 3000 to 7000 years in the past. The last roll over occurred more than 7000 years ago. Unlike most other novels, one would find it very difficult to read HAB Theory just once or twice. I discovered some new evidence every time I re-read the book. Every time after re-reading the book, my question used to be: Why didn't it happen? Now, it is: When will it happen? It is that good!

Summary: A Timeless Classic
Review: I read the HAB Theory shortly after it was published, in early 1977. I was pregnant at the time and reading the information contained in this book had a profound effect on the direction my life took from that point on. The first thing I did was talk with some engineers from Martin Marietta at a Conference I attended in Orlando. I asked them for their opinion on the possibilities/probabilities suggested by the book. Their answer, in combination with what I already believed to be true, set my feet on a journey of wisdom gathering for myself and my children and their children's children that will continue into the future. I have a profound sense of the importance of living a thoughtful and responsible life based on global accountability. This book is one reason why.

Summary: Better every time I re-read it!
Review: After reading all the reviews of this book, I'm very glad all my friends and family have returned my copy after reading it! This is one of my all time favourite books, and further reading of other books, scientific, sci-fi, history, theology and many others, only sends bigger shivers down my spine on subsequent reading of the Hab Theory. Loved it 1st time, love it better each time I read it again!

Summary: The HAB Theory
Review: I have just finished reading this book 22 years after it was written and it is more relevent now than it was then. The scientific facts revealed in The HAB Theory are truly astounding and convincing, and in light of the modern world I believe it is a book that must be re-published. I was loaned this very tattered book and must return it, but I want my own copy to read and re-read at my leisure and as gifts for my adult family. If this book does not excite your imagination nothing will.

Summary: A book which must be read
Review: I first read this book 15 years ago. It worried me then that we could soon be at the end of civilization and no-one could do anything about it. Having today 16 nov 1999 found another copy I will start reading again. And still be worried.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Flowing and intriguing full of suspense and knowledge
Review: I bought the book in 1984. I passed it out to friends then forgot about it. In the 1990s, I started looking for the book and never found it again. I am disapointed that it will not be published. It would be a winner again. I could not put the book down. I skipped the amourous parts and jumped to the scientific aspects. It was better than the Van Adriken books eg Chariots of the God. I believe in the theory and wish the scientists would study this HAB theory a little more. Too bad we do not have Carl Sagan anymore. It would have been to find out from him what he thought of this theory.
