Summary: Story
Review: The book, which has a timeline that switches between after the first movie and a short time after the sail barge scene from the third one. The story involves the bounty hunter Dengar finding and taking care of Boba Fett, who has recently escaped the Sarlacc Pit monster. During this time, a slave girl from Jabba the Hutt's palace discovers Dengar's hiding place. She wants Fett to survive because in the back of her mind she knows that he is the key to rediscovering her past. At the same time, Kuat of Kuat, leader of Kuat Drive Yards, is trying to kill Fett. Meanwhile, in the earlier timeline, Boba Fett is sent on a mission to join the Bounty Hunters Guild, and destroy it from the inside. Unbeknownst to Fett, his mission is actually a part of a much larger scheme that has been set in motion by the Falleen crimelord Prince Xixor... The book is very entertaining, but it is obviously not well researched, for it is not consistent with earlier Star Wars literature. Other than that, I enjoyed it very much.

Summary: Garbage.
Review: While no Star Wars book can be called literature, this novel makes a mockery of the writing profession, as well as showing a lack of respect for the Star Wars Universe. Jeter seems to have done NO research into the characterizations--particularly Boba Fett. None of the bounty hunters is believable. His dialogue is amateurish. The plot is incredibly simple. I regret that this book is Jeter's first foray into Star Wars, and not his last.

Summary: lots of action but a bit of a disapointment
Review: The mandalorin armour was one of the best star wars books ive read sofar, but the ending was so non conclusive. I hope they make the next book in the bounty hunters series quick. The only thing besides that is that it dosent really follow the same story as teales of the bounty hunters. besides that its more than worth the time to read it. all the battle seen are awsomely written, hats off to the writter. i loved how they focosed on boba fett but no new information about him was realesed. It make wanting to know more all through out the book.

Summary: The topic is red hot...the book itself is not
Review: I was overjoyed when I saw the title on the shelf, "The Mandalorian Armor". Finally a triliogy revolving around Boba Fett. I could hardly wait to read it. Now that I have read it I wonder if it missed the final editing. There were a couple of character and time line discrepencies with the SW universe that should not have slipped through.

In his defense, Jeter introduces us to some new and interesting characters in the SW universe. D'harhan and Kud'ar Mub'at are great additions. Too bad one gets knocked off right after we meet him. I also enjoyed Jeter's storyline jumps from the present to the past. It was a bit annoying at first but by the end I felt it worked well. If only the background research into the existing characters had been done. Then I might not rank it down at the bottom of the 30+ SW books I have read to date.

Bottom line -- If you have the rest of the collection or are a Boba Fett fan you'll probably want to get it but don't get yo! ur expectations too high. It's more of a miss than a hit.

Summary: Not to bad , anticipating improved storyline development.
Review: I've read all star wars novels , twice each , except the X-wing series . Every time I approach the ending of the novel , I start to get a empty feeling in my stomach . Please give Jeter a chance , hopefully he'll develop very interesting events surrounding Bofa Fett . If not , just store those memories in that infinite space of your mind . These bad guys are actually a breath of fresh air , especially realizing there someone at par with the incredible Luke Skywalker .

Summary: The Mandalorian armor was an interesting ,enthralling novel!
Review: The Mandalorian Armor is the first of a series by K.W Jeter in which you accompany Boba Fett and other Star Wars Bounty Hunters as they fight against Darth Vader,Prince Xisor, and the Emperor's sinister plans to utilize the bounty hunters in their Fiendish plot to destroy the Bounty Hunters Guild.

Summary: Personally, I enjoyed it
Review: I happened to like the first new installment of the Bounty Hunter Wars. It did get annoying with the constant use of "barve" and "Kuat" and a few other words, but all and all I enjoyed it. Everyone has been giving Mr. Jeter a bad rap for this book, but, people, the series isn't over yet!!!!!! This just got a conspiracy going.

The characters were kinda far from being exactly to character, that could have stood some improving, with the whole talking thing. But the things they DID say were pretty stuck to the character in most parts.

And no charcters from the movies, except Vader and Palpatine. And that, I think, is what makes this book particularly good. Look at Tales from the Bounty Hunters. It was a great book, but it centered on the main twist in TESB. Always saying "hey, isn't that Han Solo?" But in this one? Nope, nobody, nadda. No Luke, no Leia, no Han. I feel it's about time they had a book without the main characters. Su! re they are in the best books out there, which I throughly enjoy, but this was a good read without the basics.

In other words, READ THE BOOK!!!!! YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!

Summary: An interesting but confusing plot makes for good reading.
Review: The plot of this book really explains the events surrounding Boba Fett and his initiation into the Bounty Hunters Guild, escape and recovery from the Sarlaac as well as the main plot of the book namely, Xixor's grandiose plan to destroy the Bounty Hunters Guild and twist it's destruction to the Empire's and secretly Black Sun's. Be warned this book may have a confusing plot development. Each couple of chapters are part of either NOW, THEN, etc. Enjoyable for Stars Wars fans all over.

Summary: MANDILORIAN ARMOR? NOT IN THIS BOOK!
Review: It is a shame to see such a great part of the Star Wars Universe wasted by an author like K.W. Jeter. It seems to me, that the author did little or no research into the people or places that are in this book. The one thing I enjoy about the Star Wars series, is that more recent books build on the storyline before. Jeter has esentially thrown out all that has happened and will happen in Tales From The Bounty Hunters, the movies, or the rest of the Series. His character development and General knowledge of the S.W. universe is poor at best.

Bantam Books and George Lucus should be ashamed at putting there name on such a book. There are much better authors availible to give such a colorful part of this great story to. Spend your money elswhere, Mandelorian Armor ahs nothing to do with its title and even less to do in the great Star Wars Universe.

Summary: This book was a good setup for the rest of the books.
Review: I thought that it was cool how they had two different time periods at once even though I don't know why. But I was glad that they took off with a boba fett story because I felt that he was greatly ignored in every other book except for the Han Solo Trilogy of course. This book had good detail but in my opinion lacked a little in action except for the parts with the shell huts and the remnants of the sarlacc.
