Rating: Summary: Excellent sequel! Review: I read this book before I read the first Area 51 book. It was confusing, but extremely helpful after I read the first book. The book starts off exactly where the first one left off. With the discovery of the Airlia held up on Mars, as well as a strange device in Ethiopia's Rift Valley, six craft head for Earth to land in Central Park. But with a discovery of another gaurdian computer in China, it seems the Airlia aren't as nice as they were imagined in the first 'Area 51' book. Characters differed very much from the first book. Mike Turcotte seems more of an easy going guy. Lisa Duncan becomes more of a character, and a romance seems to be blooming between her and Turcotte. A good deal of suspense and action keeps this book going. Eagerly awaiting for the release of "The Mission"
Rating: Summary: AS GOOD AS THE FIRST Review: I really liked Area 51 and this book. I also found out that this author has just had another novel published under another pen name: THE OMEGA MISSILE under the name Joe Dalton. Read it and loved it. Recommend it to anyone who likes Doherty's books. Looking forward to AREA 51 THE MISSION.
Rating: Summary: READ AREA 51 FIRST, THEN ENJOY THIS ONE Review: I started this book before reading the first book in this series-- went back and got it, read it, then picked up the story. Both were great reads as was Doherty's first book, THE ROCK.
Rating: Summary: OK, I want more-- where's the next one? Review: I've read The Rock, Area 51 and this book in less than four days. Lots of fun. Very entertaining with some intriguing twists on archeological sites and legends. Can't wait for The Mission.
Rating: Summary: One of the best sci-fi/action books I ever read. Review: If you enjoy the T.V. serie "Dark skies" you really have to read this book. Aliens and archeology. Secret goverment agencies and special operations units. What more can you ask from a book if you enjoy both sci-fi and action. I can hardly wait for Area 51 - The Mission. Please, Robert, hurry up with the writting!!!
Rating: Summary: "Nice, Fun Sci-Fi Adventure" Review: If you're looking for a deep read, forget it. If you just want some cool escapism, then you'll want to read this book. Doherty concentrates more on plot than character development, but he has a heck of a plot. Now that Area 51's true purpose has been made public, nations around the world are scrambling to pick up artifacts from when the alien Airlia colonized the Earth 5,000 years ago. At the same time, a message comes in from Mars. The aliens are coming out of suspended animation and returning to Earth. While most of the world celebrates, Green Beret Mike Turcotte, Presidential Scientific Advisor Lisa Duncan and archeologist Dr. Nabinger rush to uncover the true purpose of the Airlia's return. Do they come in peace, or as conquerors?I liked how Doherty brought together all kinds of myths regarding UFOs and ancient civilizations. Some nice plot twists, especially with the super-super secret shadow organization called STAAR. Really enjoyed some of the action scenes. Best ones were the U.S./Britist raid on a South African criminal organization hording Airlia artifacts. Great stuff and neat strategy when the U.S. military takes on the alien "foo fighters." No ID4-type air battles here. The Navy really has to get imaginative dealing with them. Decent character development. Turcotte is my kind of hero, ordinary guy in an extraordinary line of work. Duncan proves she's not all brians. She will aggressively defend her friends if she thinks they're in big-time danger.

Rating: Summary: The Mystery Grows Deeper. GREAT READ Review: If you've ever wondered about UFOs, abductions, the monuments on Easter Island, the Great Pyramid, etc. these AREA 51 books are what you're looking for. A really fun read with a deeper mystery behind the action. The end of Area 51 leads to the beginning of Area 51 The Reply. While this book answers some questions from the first book, the mystery of what exactly the truth is, seemed to grow even deeper. I really enjoyed this and am looking forward to the next book, Area 51 The Mission to learn more. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Rating: Summary: I thought it was agreat book along with the other two/ Review: In keeping with the tradition of the first two Area 51 books, it was fast paced and kept you rivited. I only hope he writes another to answer the questions that this one left you hanging on to.
Rating: Summary: Knew we need a Reply to the first book and this pays off! Review: It was obvious at the end of Area 51 that a Reply was needed to the message sent and this book pays off with another exciting story in the series. Even more legends woven into this story than the last one. On to the next one!
