Summary: Area 51: The Reply
Review: A fun easy read and great follow-up to the first book. I ordered the third book immediately upon finishing this one.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Good science fiction
Review: A good enough mixture of fact and fiction, along with fast-paced action to satisfy even the most jaded reader-- and I've become jaded over the years. I really enjoy this series. Seems to be rewriting the entire history of mankind while moving the story forward-- interesting.

Summary: Not as good as the first, but still a nice read
Review: After flying through "Area 51", I was somewhat disappointed that the characters in "Area 51: The Reply" weren't as well developed. I thought the character of Kelly Reynolds was especially flat after such a great introduction in the previous book. I would still recommend this book, it is goot, but I think the author put more thought into the development of the characters in the first book.

Now, to the strengths of "Area 51: The Reply". The action sequences of "Area 51: The Reply" were very well done. Definitely Mr. Doherty's forte. I also enjoyed the development of the STAAR conspiracy, and look forward to more of that in the next book.

I hope that for the next book, "Area 51: The Mission", we get all the action of "The Reply" combined with the well thought out and detailed characterizations from the original.

Summary: Robert Doherty (aka Bob Mayer, aka Bob McGuire)
Review: AREA 51-- THE REPLY picks up where AREA 51 left off. Mike Turcotte, Kelly Reynolds, Peter Nabinger and others from AREA 51 are back in a story that spans the globe from the Great Rift Valley in Africa to the Great Wall of China, to the "Face" on the surface of Mars. And coming next, AREA 51-- THE MISSION. I'm Robert Doherty (aka Bob Mayer, aka Bob Mayer) and you can find out more about the AREA 51 series at my home page: www.nettrends.com/doherty Thanks to all those who've made AREA 51 a bestseller!!!

Summary: Even better than the first in the series!
Review: Area 51: The Reply is even better than the original Area 51 novel. I really can't delve too much into any of the key plot elements because that would spoil crucial events, but suffice it to say that there are enought plot twists and explosive events that keep the pages turning. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that there were a few technical errors in the book (that was the only thing keeping me from giving the book 5 stars), most of them relating to military aircraft, but still those errors didn't take much from the storyline. A thourougly enjoyable read, just make sure you read "Area 51" first! Can't wait until "Area 51: The Mission" comes out...

Summary: Very intriguing follow-up!
Review: AREA 51: THE REPLY picks up from where AREA 51 left off, and it turns out there are more mysteries to uncover! A signal is picked up from Mars. Two major archaeological finds are discovered in China and Africa, while scientist Lisa Duncan is abducted by the alien computer on Easter Island and links herself telepathically with it. I won't say anymore, just buy this book, it is amazing. I read it in two sittings, and was left thirsting for more. What is the tie-up with the aliens' message from Mars and the discoveries . . .? BUY THIS BOOK NOW!

Summary: Another cool book!
Review: As good as the first. Keep 'em coming

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Very good techno-thriller masquerading as science fiction.
Review: Bob Mayer (aka Robert Dougherty) is a former special ops ground pounder who brings realistic knowledge and attitudes to his books. Area 51, The Reply is fast paced science fiction that reads like a techno-thriller. Mayer in both novels has impressively managed to capture the spirit of the ufo/conspiracy culture without jumping off the deep end. Both novels are highly recommended.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Better than the first book!
Review: Fast action and unexpected twists of the action guarantee an exciting reading adventure. As usual the historical and esoteric backgrounds are well researched, and together with a realistic setting they end up in an almost credible plot. The characters are again credible and where they are stereotypes, they help to develop the plot and as creative instruments add to the tension that marks the book from the first to the last pages. One of the best in its genre.
