Rating: Summary: This just leaves you wanting more Review: This book is the second in the "Domain" series. If you enjoyed "Domain" this book is a must read. It pretty much picks up where "Domain" left off. As I have no intention of ruining it for Steve Alten fans who have not finished reading it yet, I won't go into more detail except to say that the "Domain" series is about the ancient prophecies made by the Myan Indians and specifically the predictions made regarding the end of the Myan calandar in December 2012. It is a wonderful, well researched, factual, piece of fiction. I know that sounds like a contradiction but it is true. Mr. Alten has a unique way of blending facts into his fiction. This simply makes it a better reading experience and has peaked my interest in the ancient world. Another thing Steve Alten should never be accused of is inaccuracy. This author does his homework and writes in a style that just flows off the page and allows you to get lost in these characters and their lives. Let it also be known that Mr. Alten is very good to his fans. He has his own website and actually will answer correspondence from his readers. Anyone with a question, in my experience, gets a reply which is awesome. I think it's great when an author relates to his audience and that just makes me want to read more.

Rating: Summary: a great book based on the mayan myths Review: this book was great, especially for anyone interested in archaeology or the central american myths, once you start reading you will not be able to put it down. the story is a continuation of domain, in resurrection the mayan myth of the hero twins is played out in modern times with a few twists and turns thrown in,jacob and immanuel the sons of one hunahpu are born after the dissapearence of their father after he saves the earth fron the mayan prophacy of 2012, as they grow up they realize that they have to save their father from the underworld, and save earth and the future from destruction. this book is a must read, you will not be dissapointed.
Rating: Summary: An Incredibly Story Review: This is one of the very rare stories that is truly unique. It covers an enormous scope. The description on the inside cover does not do it justice. It is the sort of book that when someone asks what it is about, you cannot give them an easy answer. Steve has used an incredible imagination to work scientific fact and theory into a highly possible scenario that leads to both the ultimate fate of the human race and the birth of mythology at the same time. It is the unlikely merge of high technology and our forgotten past. Teh end is such that I cannot even imagine what part three will be about. This is part of a trilogy that is certain to be a classic.
Rating: Summary: Resurrection "Why I Should Not Waste Hard Earned Money?" Review: To date, I have read every book that Mr. Alten has written. They have been "GREAT" each and every one of them, until now. I purchased Resurrection and I'm about half way through the book and I am "BORED STIFF!" Mr. Altens other works were fased paced and loaded with Action/Adventure that took you into the book and had your blood pumping. Resurrection, on the other hand, can put one to sleep real quick. It would be nice if books like this came with a "Money Back Guarantee." I purchased Primal Waters last week and I'm waiting for the Postman to deliver it as I speak, I just hope it's nothing like "Resurrection!" Mr. Alten if you ever read this I hope you go back to your old style of writing!

Rating: Summary: A MUST READ! Review: Want to read a book that keeps you turning pages all night...then makes you want to go back and read it again? Buy RESURRECTION! The storyline of Resurrection delves into two of the greatest mysteries that haunt mankind's existence: What happens to us after we die? And what is the future of the human race? In RESURRECTION, the two subjects are entwined. The novel takes place just after the apocalypse of 2012, prophecied in the Mayan Calendar (read DOMAIN by Steve Alten). Just as fascinating is the story within the story, and the research the author has injected into this "faction." As technology helps Homo Sapiens evolve into TRANSHUMANS, the afterlife becomes a science in itself, and mankind learns how to tap into the higher dimension of this ultimate frontier. We learn much of this through the eyes of our hero, Michael Gabriel, who has been exiled into an existence of purgatory by an evil life force that believes she is the reincarnation of the Succubus; Lilith. Amazing. Now I can go back and read the author's other works.
