Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: A SAGA WORTH READING!!! Review: Good storyline, but to many dead friend... Worse still, the bad guy doesn't even defeated. The heroes just plug it and wait until next time... what!!! Just like x-file, the enemy is out there... where? don't know. geezzz Overall it's okey... and I just love the twins, they bring back the memory of Jimmy the Hand. In future (I just know there will be new books of Shadow of the Nameles One)I hope that you can ask your publisher to send to Malaysia on time. Because last time the books arrive a little bit late. Raymond E. Feist please write new book soon... hope you add a new character.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Above the skies lies something greater Review: First, let me say that I have read all of Feist's book on Midkemia. The only one I haven't read is Shards (Vol. 4). This book creates a plot greater than before. It shows us character limitation. It started a regenaration of character we knew since the riftwar. The only problem is perhaps that Pug suddenly becomes the center of everything. He owns greater power than a human possibly could. This has a positive and negative effect. The negative one is perhaps that Pug will have to be in the center of the plot to be the hero to save the day. But all in all this book is again proof that Feist is a gifted writer.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: This is a must read for all fantasy/ Raymond Feist fans Review: This book was perhaps the best of the Serpent War Saga series. Fiest keeps you on the edge of your seat through out the whole book. I could not put it down after I started reading it. The action is INTENSE and craftily written. The characters Pug, Duke James, Erik von Darkmoor, Thomas, Calis, Miranda, and even Macros the Black return in this wonderful tale. I loved the plot twist concerning the gods!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: This book is perfect by all means Review: I was introduced to the serpentwar saga by a friend of mine who lend me Shadow Of a Dark queen. Rage of a Demon King is outstanding. It is full of action and has a very interesting interpretation to the creation of the world of Midkemia and evantually ours. Mr feist style is marvellous. If you call yourself a Fantasy reader and haven't gotten yourself a copy yet then you should go ahead and get one .The book is a must read.
Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: Great Book, some drawbacks, though. Review: Let me just start with saying this book was extremely imaginitive and very, very exciting. However, the one thing I disliked was how it in a way cheapened the previous series, making all those occurences less important. Furthermore, there is a great deal of mystique taken away from characters and creatures such as Macros and the Valheru, beings who used to be a source of awe that are now to be viewed as either fakes or minor pawns. But, this is an excellent read, especially for those who love the series as much as I do.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: If You Gave It Less Than 5 Stars You arn't Paying Attention Review: This was the most awsome book i have ever read! You can tell Feist planned this from the begining he made you think one way in the riftwar. then showed you you weren't looking deep enough. I Loved Every Part
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Excellent installment of an epic series. Review: I found this to be a very rewarding effort by Mr. Fiest. I have loved all of his books and I read this one with enthusiasum. The characters contiune to grow and become more endearing with each installment. This book moved quickly, keeping me turning pages as the story shifted between the many familiar characters. I found it very satisfying, but I regret the loss of many favorite long time "friends" that I have come to love in this series. In all it was wonderfully written. Funny, sad, interesting and very memorable, because Feist teaches you to care for all of his characters and to know them.
Rating: ![2 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-2-0.gif) Summary: Feist Could Have Done Much Better... Review: First, let me say I am a huge fan of the Midkemia novels and have read them all. My favorites are Magician, Darkness at Sethanon, and especially Rise of a Merchant Prince, where Feist really widened his range and took the time to develop character's personalities. My problems with Rage of A Demon King are #1: He tarnishes everything from those classic original Riftwar books. He replaces a compeling, mysterious, powerful enemy: the Valheru... with these watered down Demonic wimps. #2: He completely abandons his character development. We get almost no insight into each character's real feeling or ambitions. #3 It's almost all action or revelations about the order of the Universe, which completely fall short of the original explanation in earlier books. Nalor, the Mad God is behind everything ... WHAT!!! Feist doesn't bother to give this Nalor any personality or history... he's an empty excuse to destroy everything we believed about the motives of the Valheru and Macross. It's almost if Feist felt the need to create some Ultimate mystery and then solve it... ignoring the need to pursue the plot of the battle as we already knew it. All in all, a most disappointing episode from perhaps my favorite writter of fantasy... I sure hope he can do a better job re-invigorating his world with Shards of a Broken Crown, or I won't be coming back.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Not a total success Review: although his new book has more war and battles, but so what. what i liked most was how he summed-up each charcters life when they died. But the plot clearly wasn't as good as the riftwar saga. so unless you are a diehard fan of feist, i don't really recommand this book
Rating: ![2 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-2-0.gif) Summary: What have you done? Review: Everything we were led to believe in previous novels, including of course the entire Riftwar Saga, has been proven false. The Dragon Lords (Valheru) were, in fact, nothing but pawns from the beginning, Macros' entire existence was a lie. The "truth" about Macros hit me hardest of all. He was one of my favourite characters, and I liked the idea of this immeasurably-old, powerful magician (clearly god-like in his ability), travelling from world to world, never able to rest, always driven to solve the conflicts he cannot help but foresee. Now he is revealed as nothing more than a Keshian magician who was granted great power by the dead god of magic. He could not be more than five hundred years old. He of course had the power to time- and dimension-travel, explaining his appearance on Kelewan millenia before, and his having been remembered by the elf Tathar, but it is still disappointing and, I must say, a great let-down. Macros previously had this incredib! le mystique. He was old beyond measure and had powers, as I've said, to rival the gods. He had been able to battle (and survive) the Enemy, a creature of the combined life-essence of the Dragon Host. His true origin was very poorly executed and greatly lacking creativity. If Feist could not have found a better way to treat this great character, he should have left him where we last saw him in "A Darkness at Sethanon," departing Midkemia to pursue new challenges. Oh, the humanity!
