Rating: Summary: SPHERE keeps the underwater action at a breathless pace! Review: SPHERE was a NEW YORK TIMES #1 bestseller, and that's not surprising! SPHERE is a book about an alien spacecraft. SPHERE is going to be made into a motion picture, but I don't see how it can be better than the sensational book. SPHERE has more of an Independence Day flair rather than E.T. but all around is a fun book to read
Rating: Summary: TOO BAD IT WILL BE A MOVIE!! Review: THIS BOOK WAS THE BEST OF HIS. I'VE READ THE BOOK 5 TIMES AND EACH TIME IT GETS BETTER....GREAT FOR NEW READERS!!
Rating: Summary: A compelling SciFi story without a Mega-dose of Technojargon Review: "Sphere" may not have sparked the interest that "Jurasic Park" did, but in many ways I feel it was a more enjoyable book to read. The characters came to life for me, and the story didn't need quantum physics or "The Chaos Theory" to validate it. I'm looking forward to watching it on the big screen, hopefully it'll be a better representation then "Congo" had
Rating: Summary: THE BEST BOOK EVER!!!!!!!! Review: This book is one of the best. It's definitly a page turner! If you'r looking for adverture, action, and horrer this is the book to get. Don't read this book in bed or you wont get much sleep.
Soon to be a movie in 1998.
Rating: Summary: AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!! Review: Sphere is an excellent choice if you're looking for page-turning,
stay-up-all-night, can't-put-it-down reading. I liked the way that
Crichton kept the suspense to the point at which you think that
nothing else can possibly go wrong, and something else happens. What made this book so different from Chrichton's
other works is the way he made us feel that we were right in
the sub, working with the team. Another tool Crichton used was the power to twist the plot into so many unthinkably tight
knots, that everything you had formerly experienced that day outside of reading the book seemed trivial compared to the possibilities that the book opened in your mind. This is truly a great book, and it should get the credit it deserves
Rating: Summary: Recomended Sci-Fi Reading Review: This is one of the best Sci-Fi books I have ever read. Block off some time - You will not be able to put it down! Not recommended for those with heart problems :-
Rating: Summary: two words "the best" Review: this his best i've ever read. a compeling and thoughtfull look at our world and universe and it's many mysteries. I have plans to go back to the trenchs of the deep and the characters you learn to care about. This one I'll read plenty of times. A great read for anyone who enjoys great suspense and tons of mystery
Rating: Summary: Black holes and time travel Review: This was ONE GREAT BOOK. READ IT!
Rating: Summary: Great book! Very entertaining! Review: I have read several books by Crichton and feel this was the best of them all. This book is very entertaining, keeping the suspense high and you interested through the entire book. This book makes you think about what humans do not know about yet. I would deffinately recommend this book to anyone
Rating: Summary: Sphere is probably Crichton's best. Review: Sphere is imaginative, clever, and well written. The characters are distinct and realistic, their actions well dictated by their personality. The only criticism I have of this book is the fact that many of Crichton's characters are simillar from book to book. The main character in this book seems to be almost the same person as the main character from the Andromeda Strain. That aside, this remains one of my favorite books.
