Summary: Weakest end of a book ever.
Review: Unfortunately, one of the weakest M.C. books I have ever read. Starts slowly where we do not really get to know any of the characters. The idea was really good and it seems a shame that the two-dimensional characters and silly end ruined it. If you are going to read this be prepared for uninteresting characters, and a disappointing end.

If you want to enjoy it don't read the end, I made a mate of mine do this and he was begging me to re-lend him the book, when I eventually did he told me he wished I hadn't. All owners of this book should tear out the last twenty pages, lend it to a friend and watch your mates reactions and imagination come up with far better stranger ideas.

There couldn't be a decent end to this book in my view as the concept of unimaginable power coming from the subconcious mind is brilliant. Also I am sick of the Americans going everywhere and achieving everything in novels, I know this is due to most authors being American. But the rest of the world see Americans as two-dimensional, as Americans consider the average of every other country to be. After a brilliant East/West differences in Rising Sun, I found the fact that most of Crichtons other books to be mainly about Americans to be a real disappointment.

A novel does not have to be about race/country differences to include people from different nations, life isn't.

Summary: Read this book!
Review: This is a great book. The reason I gave it a nine was because of the somewhat quick ending. The suspense was great. It is definately a page-turner. I couldn't put it down. The description is good. The characters are interesting. At some parts it's a little strange, but all the better.

Summary: Let's see the movie.
Review: I thought that it was a good book, that had plenty of action and good detail. It was one of the more interesting book that I hace read, because all of its complications were exciting and unpredictable. It kept me thingking the whole time I was reading. I thought the climax was a little disappointing and that it could have been more exciting, but I felt this because the whole book kept me on the egde of my seat so much that the climax seemed anticlimatic.

Summary: Couldn't put it down... which really disappointed me.
Review: I could NOT put the book down, and that turned out to be disappointing because Crichton doesn't GO anywhere with his fantastic setup. The book should have gone another 200 pages at least. Problems were solved so quickly and easily, and I really didn't like that.

Frankly, I don't see how anyone can rate this book a 10. If they do think it is the best book they've ever read, then obviously they haven't read much! They assume that since Crichton has written so many novels that get turned into movies, he is by definition a "great writer" in today's society. These people simply accept the one-dimensional characters, unanswered questions, and all too easily solved problems presented in this book as "fabulous fiction."

Summary: Sphere is the best!
Review: Sphere is the best book of all time. I don't understand all the people that say the ending was bad. NOTHING about this book (especially Jerry the "child king") was less than TERRIFIC!!! I dont see why moore people haven't read it. This is definatly Crichton's best work.

Summary: If this is his best, I'd hate to read his worst!
Review: It started out slow, but I kept reading. I've never read Crichton before and I don't think I will ever read him again. The only part that I thought made it enjoyable was "it ended."

Summary: AWESOME!! HIS BEST!! READ NOW!! "Brian Gaughan"
Review: Toataly awesome his best to date. Some people may say the ending makes them loose respect for Crichton its not true. HELLO they need to ask themselves what would the ending be like if they wrote it and they were at the part Where Harry, Beth, and Norman are in the decompresion chamber thinkin what to say to everyone. I still have full respect for Crichton. Dont listen to those other coments. READ IT THE FIRST CHANCE YOU GET!!!!!

Summary: Crichton's best
Review: I can't see how anyone who read this book and who is a Crichton fan could possibly give this book less than a ten. It is one of the most intriguing and thought- provoking books that I have ever read. I would definately recommend this book to ANYONE. Also, I am wondering how anyone can be disappointed in the ending. I thought it was perfect for the book.

Summary: Best book I've ever read!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Review: This book was the best book I have ever. I am only 12 and I read it in 3 days! I loved everything but the ending. The ending is the only reason I did not give it a ten. Read the book before seeing the movie... I guarantee it is better.
