Rating: Summary: *An Ingaging story of a simple man* Review: This book is an engaging summer read. Although it is emotional at times, it is worth reading because it demonstrates one man's struggle to become intellegent. It reveals the hardships he goes through with past memories and haunting faces. Mistreated and lied to, emotionally frightened and heart-broken, Charly, the main character, still has the motivation and interest to become something else. This book makes the reader realize how insensitvie some people can be toward others.

I recommend this book to anyone who may be interested in science fictional books.
Rating: Summary: This was a very intriguing book, read on to find out why.... Review: This was a very entertanign book. It was well written and very intriguing. At times the book was chalenging for me. I felt sorry for Charlie, who is a menatly challagned, and wants to be smart. One of the characters that i did not care for at all was Charlies sister, because she is very mean to her brother (Charlie). She is a spoiled little girl who has no sympathy for her mentally challenged brother. This is a very good book for someone to read if they have a relative who is mentally challanged. Charlie's sister is a perfect examle of what not to act like if you have a friend or a family member who is mentally challanged, you have to be as nice as possible to these people. Help out and be realy understanding of them and their disability. This is a very well-written book. It is one of those books that when you start to read it you can never put it down untill you finish the book.
Rating: Summary: This book will take you a ride that you will never forget. Review: Charlie is mentally challenged and is 32 years old, and goes to Beekman College. Charlie is hardworking and determined. All Charlie ever wanted is to be smart. When he was little, his mother hated him and threw him out of the house becuase he was mentally challenged. all of Charlie's life he wanted to be smart like eveyone else. Two scientists want to perform an operation on Charlie to make him smarter. They have not done this risky operation on anyone but a white mouse named Algergon. I like this book because Charlie tries so hard to be smart like the other people and wants to prove to his family that he is smart.
Rating: Summary: This is a book that you will never forget! Review: This was a book that had a lot of dramatic moments with suspense and also had a lot of touching moments. This book really got me off my feet, I was hooked and I couldn't put it down. The reason I gave this book five stars was because I it really makes people start to think that they take their almost perfect lives for granted, compared to Charlies. Imagine when people you think are your friends and laughing with you and actually laughing at you. This book really gives a great ride for the reader, and I recommend this book to anyone!!!! Enjoy!!!!

Rating: Summary: Flowers for Algernon is a touching and inspiring book Review: Flowers for Algernon is a touching and inspiring book for any young reader that struggles in school. The main courtier, Charlie Gordon, should be commended for his motivation to excel in the field of education. It was also a wonderful book because it explores how ethical it is to operate on the human brain. I liked it because it was fascinating to see how Charlie's retardation slowly fades into oblivion and his IQ steadily rises. I would strongly recommend this book to any one, child or adult.
Rating: Summary: A great book that you would never want to put down. Review: I recommend this book to teens and adults who love drama. 30 year old Charlie Gordan is mentally challenged and tries to get help from Dr. Strauss who promises to operate and increase his I.Q. Dr. Strausss first experiments on a mouse called Algernon before he experiments on Charlie. Throughout the book, Charlie goes through many different changes in his life most of which are emotional. He suffers great pain when he discovers that his friends were making fun of him. This book has a great lesson to it.
