Rating: Summary: Great Story; Bad Title Review: MYST:The Book of D'ni is a stunning ad-on to the MYST trilogy. Even though the title has almost nothing to do with the storyline, the book is still great!! Ever since I first read MYST:The Book of Atrus, I was hooked on the books. The end of the story is a good ending, but it doesn't really sum it all up if you know what I mean; so I think that the authors should keep on creating books to this enchanting saga!!
Rating: Summary: The Best Book of All Time Review: I read the first two books in the series before I read The book of D'ni, and I must say that this is the best one yet. I have never gone through a book quicker. The beautiful and vivid descriptions make this book seem a lot like the PC games. I recomend this book to anyone that enjoys science fiction novels. The Book of D'ni is the greatest.
Rating: Summary: Beautiful book! Review: I have read this book, and found it to be among the best novels I have read, of any genre. It is detailed, and hauntingly beautiful. I highly recommend this book to anyone who can appreciate fiction on a higher level.
Rating: Summary: Great Review: This wasn't the best of the three but that doesn't mean it was not good. Wonderful book.
Rating: Summary: A Great Story Review: I really liked this book. Every bit of it was very moving and you never quite knew what was going to happen next. Perfect for readers who like action.
Rating: Summary: Totally out of character!!! Review: The third in the Myst series, this one is the worst! The authors obviously didn't put as much thought or work into this story as the other books. Atrus' character is definitely not what we were led to believe in the first two books...how in the world (especially in D'ni) could he not be more observant and find out WHY things were the way they were for a person committed to studying detail. Transition was weak and rushed from the rebuilding of D'ni to get to this other world to tell the REAL story. Ending was rushed and predictable.
Rating: Summary: best Review: I have read all three of the Myst books and have been hooked ever since I played the the first one.I have all three books but this was my favorite. Excellent story as well as descriptions.--- But I think you should read the first two books before you read this one.
Rating: Summary: Excelent story for anyone Review: This was actually the first of the series I read, and anticipated what I eventually found in the other two books, secrets to the history of the game. I was greeted by much more independent and intriguing story, well written and able to hold it's own. IMHO Rand should write more like this one, It keeps the story going without being dependent on the game.
Rating: Summary: No book lover should do without the Myst series. Review: Unfortuanatly I like so many other readers did not get to read the first MYST because it was not very clear that thers was a prequal to the book. After the first five pages I was hooked, and strangley enough I couldn't belive that there was a prequal to the book. This looks promising.Maybe they will make another one? Chris bennett,Marietta Ga.
Rating: Summary: The Future of Myst ever looked so... Strange... Review: This is the third in a series that fills the imagination with awe and the the soul with a longing to be in the land of Ages only a page away. Follow Atrus and Catherine through their adventures that can only be described as MYST-ifying...
