Summary: Discworld novels are so funny you won't put them down!
Review: The Light Fantastic is the second in the discworld series and is a must. If you want your funny bone tickled this won't touch it the whole series is a rib tickler. The sense of humour is second to none and you'll find a least one charater you know of old. READ THESE BOOKS OR KNOW NOT HOW TO LAUGH!!

Summary: Beware this book ISBN 0552141593 is in comic strip format
Review: The rating of 5 is an average of 10 for the Terry Pratchett orginal and 0 for the comic strip version. Terry Pratchett books tend to be very funny and contain many allusions to many things but still read very well even if you don't get all of them. They are in a catagory by themselves.

Summary: A great novel
Review: Hey, its a great novel but the first one was called 'The Colour of Magic' (which is octarine, of course) Check Terry out of the library or check out secondhand shops if the pricetag is too high. Also, I cannot praise 'Strata' enough. It was the preliminary Discworld novel, and it was a Science Fiction novel. The tone was much different than 'Colour' yet his humor peeks through on a number of occasions. Thanks , Terry

Summary: Good but not the best
Review: The entire discworld series is great, with some lesser books. The Light fantastic is one of them. Terry Prachett seemed to have to many good Ideas and tried to cram them into a small book, so the book seems to jump around alot. Other than that the book is decent. My favorite character is the luggage

Summary: Much better than "The Color of Magic"
Review: After reading "The Color of Magic", I couldn't wait to get my hands on "The Light Fantastic". It picks up where COM left off. Rincewind the failed wizard and the tourist Twoflower continue their journey of the Disc. They also meet Cohen the Barbarian, one of my favorite characters. Meanwhile, Ymper Trymon, a wizard from Unseen University, is trying to find them. A huge star is about to hit the Disc, and all of the Eight Gray Spells need to be said. Rincewind has one of the Spells lodged in his head. If you are new to Discworld, this book is good, but read COM first. It will help you understand LF better. The ending is spectacular and the book is seasoned with fresh humor that can only be compared to a mix of "Monty Python" and Tolkien.
I am currently working on "Equal Rites", the third in the series.
