Summary: THE "Harry Potter" Book for ANY HARRY POTTER FAN
Review: This book represents the beginning of the Harry Potter mystery and tells us more about the future than any other resource that I have ever even heard. In a way, this book tells us more about Harry Potter than the Harry Potter books themselves. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TO ANY HARRY POTTER BOOK FAN!

Summary: What a Tangled Web she's weaved....
Review: This book is great! It helped me realize just how complex a mystery, JKR has weaved! And, it showed me how to figure out just what clues were in the books and how to understand what they meant. I now have my own theories (some same, some different than Galadrial)but no matter who is closer..I wouldn't have gotten nearly as far on my own. PLEASE.....even though i have honed my sleuth skills...I want the same type of book for book 5!!!!

Summary: An excellent book that looks at every aspect of Harry Potter
Review: This book was a great read. I found out so many new and exciting ideas for the future books. They break down every paragraph of every page, of every book. Its awesome. It's very lengthy though so I would call it a rainy day/ when the Potter attack strikes. It'll quench any fans thirst for Harry Potter when waiting for the other books to come out. It was spellbinding!

Summary: Could be better....
Review: I purchased this book as soon as it came out and couldn't wait to receive it because of all the insight and information that it's description promised. There are some interesting points made, but quite a bit of the book is cutesy and saccharine, as though it has been written by a 12 year old for a 12 year old All the smiley faces sprinkled throughout the text are distracting and annoying, and make the reader begin to feel as though they are reading a note being passed in study hall. As mentioned before, some of the information is interesting, however, some of the topics are picked to death to the point where the conclusions drawn are simply ridiculous. This book has it's "okay" points. If it's possible to pick it up used, do so. That way, you can still read the book, but not pay so much for the small amount of useful information you will get from reading it.

Summary: Really makes you think...
Review: Where do I begin...hmm. Well, let me say that the authors really put a lot of hard work into this and it seems like they really did some deep thinking. I will tell you the two things that got me thinking, I mean really thinking.
1.Is it possible that James Potter is still alive? Maybe he did a switching spell with Remus Lupin and it was actually Lupin who died in James' body. They give tons of clues taken directly from the books to back this theory up.
2.What will the ending to the seventh book (or the Harry Potter Series)? And they have I believe six different theories. The one that got me thinking was the one that said that maybe the entire Harry Potter Series is one BIG dream that Harry is having. Think about it, at the beginning of the first book harry is "waking up", maybe at the end of the seventh book harry will really wake up and realize it was all one big dream, and he is still living with the dursleys.
Well, thats it, they described it much better in the actual book, but I think you get the idea. Overall, I reccomend this to anyone who enjoys Harry Potter!

Summary: Like discussing the books with your looniest friends
Review: Reading this book is like sitting around talking over the Harry Potter mystery with some of your zaniest friends.

The authors do a chapter-by-chapter breakdown of each chapter of each book and points out everything that is a clue, could potentially turn out to be a clue or that just seems interesting. They delve into the meanings of the names of the characters and places, advancing the theory that nothing in these books is named capriciously, and even spend a little time in wild speculation about what may lay in book 5 and beyond.

The writing style feels a little too cutesy at times -- with the proliferation of smiley faces I got the feeling that I was reading one giant transcript of a fan website... which, now that I think about it, I probably was. And some of the theories go so completely wild that you're left chuckling at them, certain that they're reading WAY too much into certain details. Their thoughts about Remus Lupin and Rita Skeeter in particular seem totally out of left field to me.

But you know what? That's okay. When you're talking about the fantastic Harry Potter series with your friends, you DO throw out looney ideas, the loonier the better. And there's always the chance that some of the stuff I think is totally out there could turn out to be exactly right. Part of the fun is going to be finding out.

Summary: Great Book!
Review: I've read all of the HP books at least 5 times each, taking the time to find clues, and predictions, and in all of those re-reads I didn't find half of what's in this book, all accurate!!!

It's a great in-depth review of JKR's masterpieces, and they have figured out the basic 4 rules of HP.

A must have for every Harry Potter fan (HP Sleuth).

Summary: Amazing
Review: This is the most incredible book I've ever read as a guide to the Harry Potter series. It's absolutely brilliant. There are load of information and clues hidden in the first four books and how they influence the fifth, sixth and seventh book. You've got to read it. They assesse everything so clearly and doesn't leave out ANY details.

Summary: Something to kill time with
Review: With each (say, 30) subsequent reading of the books, I discovered new nuances, and this book can help you to do that. JKR is a devious writer, and she uses a lot of obscure references and hints and clues to help pull her books together into the incredible story that eventually gets scrutinized by millions upon millions of people (and yet, no one knew it was the rat in book 3).

If you enjoy sleuthing out the secrets of the Harry Potter books, this is for you. It brings up a lot of amazing plot points and little details that are easily missed, and really gives the reader something to ponder in the time until book 5 comes out. (For example, James Potter might not REALLY be dead...)

This book is a little bit over the top in some parts, over-analyzing in some places and glossing over some details that one would think were important. All in all, though, it is a fun book to read on a rainy day.
