Summary: AMAZING
Review: I just got this book along with the Ultimate Clues to book 5 for christmas. In reading them, it is like reading 5 more harry potter books. Everything that i thought about harry potter has changed since i read them. New doors are opened up and i will never read one of the other harry potter books, weather it be books 1-5 or books 6 and 7, the same way again.

Summary: sort of good. . .
Review: I think this book is sort of useful, but the writers overlooked many things, such as they do not know who the Ravenclaw ghost is, even though she (I know that the ghost is a she) is mentioned in one of the books. I find some things they think in the book knid of stupid, too. Overall, I don't think you should use it as a guide to Harry Potter, just something to entertain yourself with.

Summary: Only One of Its Kind
Review: After digesting all 5 books (UK & US) more times than I can count, then getting the audio tapes so I can listen in the car (because what else is there to do in there!), I came across this guide, as well as their clues for book 5. I sat down, read it cover to cover, then went back and sat with all 5 books and this and started hunting for the trends, and seeing what else I could find.
I consider myself pretty intuitive, but these two picked up things that I hadn't even thought of - THANKS!!!
When I came back to amazon to see if there were any other books like this - there weren't...which made this book that much better.
If you're sucked into the series, and each time you read one of the books you pick up on one more detail, you MUST read this book - as you'll find you've been missing out on so much, and have to go back and start from the beginning again.
Happy Reading!

Summary: A must-have for all Potter fans
Review: I never thought there was so much behind the books! This book goes and disifers every part of the books and is literly amazing. I love it and so do all of my Potter-crazy friends, they're dying to borrow it!

Summary: An Awesome Book!!!!!
Review: This is the best book ever-- except for the Harry Potter series itself.

These geniuses tore the books apart, sentence by sentence, and told us the hidden meaning in them. Waters and Mithrandir guide you though the 4 books (as of now, they haven't written a copy with The Order of the Phoenix in it), chapter by chapter, telling what each paragraph means, the Latin root of characters' names, and much more! They even give you four rules to go by when you're an "HP Sluethâ„¢".

After reading this, you'll be so alert when it comes to books, you'll think Peter Rabbit is powerful because he has long fingers!

As Waters and Mithrandir like to say, (and Proffessor Moody) "CONSTANT VIGILANCE!"

Summary: Wonderful for all ages!
Review: This is a fantastic book that will inspire any Harry Potter fan to start from the beginning and read again! Wonderfully written so that children and adults alike can understand and stay interested. A book you will not want to put down and that will quickly become a well used reference tool!

Summary: Brilliant- Perfect for Any Major Fan
Review: What an awesome book! I loved it, it was so carefully written with tangible theories about concepts that you knew were there but weren't sure what they meant. There were one or two things, in hindsight (after Book 5) that I think they could have picked up on, but the things they did were amazing- many I had missed during the times I'd read the first four novels. It's incredible how many running bits there are- cabbage, 12- in the series, and that's all mentioned in here. Coincidences that were really meant to happen from the get-go, "insignificant" details you thought were unimportant were really keys to the plot- they have an awesome system they let you in on, four rules to picking up on clues. This is an insanely great piece of work, for any Potterhead. :) I'm definitely pre-ordering "New Clues", to accompany it.

Summary: A Really Fun Read
Review: This is definitely not for the casual Harry Potter fan, or someone who just watched the movies. This is for the obsessed HP fan who can't wait until Book #6 or the PoA movie next summer. It is an exhaustive chapter by chapter minute examination of almost every little detail in the first four books in the series. Because of this slavish devotion to details, it would be annoying and nit-picking to anyone who isn't totally into the whole HP phenonmenon. Even I thought several times the authors were really reaching trying to pick up clues or draw conclusions! However, more often than not, they found clues I had missed even after a half dozen (or more) reads of each book, and some of their conclusions, speculations, etc., were fascinating, or downright eerie with the great deal of sense they made. The authors further go out on a limb and predict what will happen in Book #5 (some of which they were pretty close or dead on)and even offer some possible scenarios to the ending of the whole septology (which I doubt they got right because I think we're all going to be shocked then)! Frankly, I can't wait until the follow-up guide to Book #5 is released in November to see what they've come up with next.

Summary: Probably worth getting.
Review: Very interesting. Its sheer thoroughness makes up for some of the conclusions and predictions they leap to regarding the future plot of the books. Far from literary criticism, this over-enthusiastic book reads much like a couple extremely well-organized harry potter internet fansites stuck together. Placed in that category, this book exceeded my expectations. This book showed me things I would have never thought of (like Harry possibly being related to the Malefoys, or even Dumbledore). Be warned, however: as it seems like it was written by older teenagers (consider the authors' magical-Tolkien-esque pseudonyms, for instance), be prepared to be treated like one by the book. Apart from that, I don't regret buying it.
