Summary: Interesting concept, I liked it, very creative!
Review: I wouldn't recommend this book to a first-time reader of Kurt Vonnegut. Nothing against the book, it is a really good one, but I personally think that you need to understand how he writes before you jump into this one. It is not like other books because all of Vonneguts' books are great but they are not for everyone and this one especially if you haven't read a book of his before. I thought it was really nice and funny book overall though.

Summary: --The truest glimpse into Vonnegut
Review: Although far from his most entertaining book, Timequake provides the most coherent view into Vonnegut's moral basis on which much of his work has been placed. Surely entertaining for the those just beginning to get acquianted with Vonnegut, Timequake also provides views into the past by focusing much of the time on Kilgore Trout. Hilarious as always, Vonnegut's commentary is, although sarcastic and cynical, refreshingly fluid and plainly a joy.

Summary: My first of Vonnegut's masterpieces!
Review: Before Timequake, I had never read anything by Kurt Vonnegut! What an introduction! Kurt Vonnegut has a unique and truly moral view of the way the world is and should be. A Timequake occurs in 2001, shooting everyone back to 1991, in the decade of the timequake, people must do exactly as they did the first time through. Back in the year 2001, people find they no longer know how to live and make decisions for themselves anymore, they can't walk, fly planes, drive, etc. Support groups form and people finally have to rely on one another for help, and they succeed!This book is full of imagery, espousing Vonnegut's unique view of humanity. Come study the true nature of humanity with one of the masters of American English. Learn his view of things, agree, disagree, think, rethink, know. This was truly a great introduction to the literature of Kurt Vonnegut Jr.

Summary: As a first read...
Review: This was the first Vonnegut book I read which is unusual for most people who read Vonnegut. It took me a while to catch onto his way of writing and I put the book down a few times because it was uninteresting to me. But I must say, once I read a little further I was hooked and it was one of the most (if not strangely) interesting books I've read in a long time. Since then I've read much more of Vonnegut and he's become a favorite. I would not recommend this as a first read, but it's still a great read.

Review: If Vonnegut lives here on Earth with the rest of us, you sure can't tell by this book. It is very interesting and full of useful trivia that kept me laughing. Although there is no distinct plot, the book is easy to follow. By the end of the book, you will wish that you lived in Vonnegut's world. I sure did!

Review: With Timequake, Kurt Vonnegut shows that he still has the ability to bring the reader on one of his amazingly unique and unpredictable rides. To compare his books to one another is a waste of time considering that they each stand on their own as brilliant works of literature.

Summary: STAMP: Return to Writer
Review: Vonnegut's 19th, and allegedly last, novel is a mish-mash only diehard Vonnegut fans are likely to appreciate. There are all kinds of semi-autobiographical musings here, mixed in with the remnants of a failed novel. I lost interest a quarter of the way through and tossed it aside.

Summary: Not average Vonnegut
Review: This book is not for all people. If you have not read this author before you won't want ot read this book. He talks of a fantasy world where everything repeats itelf from the previious ten years, but only a few people know when the rerun as Vonnegut likes to call it is over. The writing is like the storyline of the book, it repeats itself over and over again goinng nowhere but where it has been. I have red Vonnegut before and appreciate his style, but I fear that most won't. A bad introductory book to Vonnegut, but fans will love it.

Review: When I found out that this was going to be his last book, I was sad, to say the least. I loved the book - it's a trip down memory lane (or a broad overview of time as Tralfamadorians would say). An 'autobiography' with so many little elements of all his books. Wonderul, peaceful, insightful - Thank You Mr. Vonnegut!

Review: This is Vonnegut at his best. It is very funny andinteresting. If you liked any of Vonnegut's books read this one! Iwould recommend to at least read one or two books from Vonnegut so you can understand some of his jokes. It is an excellent book from one of the best authors of all time. END
