Summary: reading this book is like walking ina shower in early spring
Review: Every time I read this book it conquers both my mind and heart. I am astonished and amazed that such a mystic tale can be told in such a vivid way. I would really like to read more of that kind. Maybe it's that easy way of philosophy that turns Beagles story into finest artwork.

Summary: This book is awesome.
Review: This is one of the best books you'll ever read. . . I'm not exaggerating. It ranks up there w/ C.S. Lewis's Chronicles of Narnia. It's one of those books you can't put down, even though you know you'll be sorry you've finished it so fast. . . . And don't worry if you've already seen the movie, like I had. It's a wonderful book, whether you know the ending or not.

Summary: Excellent and deep
Review: "The Last Unicorn" by Beagle is a beautiful book. You will enjoy reading it and maybe you will discover it is worth reading again. And again. And every time you will discover something new in this deep and meaningful story which is an adventure tale as well as clear poetry. There are many funny episodes in the novel, but in fact it is also very sad when it shows how we all hopelessly dream about impossible and how cruel it is for us when the impossible comes true. This is a story about self-conciousness and about limitations of reality (even magical one). It shows that in each joy some sorrow is hidden. And fortunately no sorrow lasts forever.

Summary: Magical. A modern classic
Review: Give it to your adolescent, but read it yourself. Clever, cynical, moving, beautiful by turns. You are never too old for this book if you have kept your sense of wonder. Incidently, it is much better than the animated flick spinoff.

Summary: "...to have loved a unicorn."
Review: This is a beautiful, haunting book about a unicorn in search of her own kind, who have vanished with barely a trace. Words are not enough to describe the grace of this book, unless they are the fantastic words of Peter S. Beagle. I have been fascinated by this story ever since I saw the animated movie, but this book is beyond anything I have ever read.

Summary: Recommended for believers
Review: This is a book to pass down through generations. It tells the story of a unicorn's quest to find her people, locked in the depths of the sea by King Haggard. On her way she meets a clumsy magician, a smart-aleck outlaw, and a loyal prince. The characters vividly come to life with peronalities only Peter Beagle could create. A wonderful story

Summary: The Last Unicorn-a wonderful fantasy tale
Review: The Last Unicorn is wonderful fantasy tale for children and adults alike. Although no longer carried by most libraries, the book is still a wonderful tale to read and re-read many times over. Written by Peter S. Beagle, "The Last Unicorn" gives one a sense of viewing another time and place seperate from the outside world yet within the minds of us all. Being the only Unicorn in the world gives her a quest: to find what happened to others of her kind. She becomes mortal for a brief period, and is the only unicorn that has ever loved a human being for more than a short time. During her quest she meets King Haggard, who is never happy except when he sees the unicorns he has had the Red Bull (some say the Devil himself) capture them all and imprison them within the sea. Molly Grue, an old yet still pure maiden, joins the quest early on and points Schemdrick the clumsy yet powerful Magician, a person who is under a spell to remain immortal until he has become a true wizard. Molly becomes a valuable
