Summary: This Book is the GREATEST book I have read in 3 years!!!
Review: I found this book to be truely amasing. It is the best unicorn fiction book I have ever read. I also have the movie both are great and from one of the greatest imaginastions ever. I've seen a unicorn when I was only six after my Papa died. All of the charicters are well set in there surondings. This book is truely a fantastic fantasy. You'r Great unicorn Lover Olivia ,AGE 11

Review: The Last Unicorn is a masterpiece. Peter Beagle has done a wonderful job of intertwining all the plots in the story, but, more than that, he makes you believe that you are in the action. A superb novel.

Summary: Sorry you guys, but it's not that great.
Review: I'm sorry to have to say this, but "The Last Unicorn" by Beagle is not everything you guys have made it out to be. I actually bought this book because the reviews it had received were fantastic but honestly, I was disappointed. I'm not doing this to spoil the fantastic overall 5-star score this book has recieved, but I think if customers buy this book in the belief that their lives will change because of it, they are in for a disappointment. I hope no one has hard feelings against me for saying this. Marianne

Summary: Am I just completely out of it?
Review: ok...I found this book to be incredibly depressing and it failed to capture my imagination at all. Beagle's use of language is one I can respect and maybe even appreciate for what it is, but i just cannot enjoy it. I never felt the true flow of the story. In fact, there were a lot of times when i found all the characters to be quite annoying. All in all, I thought the book was ok. The plot was very imaginative and such, but it just didn't appeal to me at all. But hey, if anyone wants to talk to me about this and explain what i may have missed, feel free to e-mail me.

Summary: Wonder-full
Review: This sounds like a children's book, and it is, but it isn't. It's a lot like Bugs Bunny cartoons, you thought they were hysterically funny when you were a kid, and then you grew up and realized that the whole time you were growing up, you only got half the jokes. This book is as close to perfect as anything could be. There is not one slow point in the plot, not one akward moment in the prose, and the poetry will stay with you forever.

Summary: absolutely beautiful
Review: I find it no surprise that every review I read of this book gave it five stars. I would give it more if I could. This is one of the most beautiful books I have ever read. It is painful and heartbreaking, but it also feels very true. Some of the heartache in this book is similar to Orson Scott Card's Heart's Hope, if anyone else likes to read sad but beautiful books. I cannot praise this book too much. Anyone who hasn't read it is missing so much. If you have seen the cartoon, read the book. As wonderful as the cartoon is, the book is so much better. Beagle is brilliant, and this is possibly the best thing he has written.
