Review: I thought this book gave a LOT more detail then the movie. I also think that this book had alot more description then all the other books I've read!

Summary: Every time I read it, I discover new beauties
Review: The sad and beautiful story of the Last Unicorn is one of those stories that make humans to wish for more beauty into their lives. All my soul is embraced by this story.

Summary: don't damn beagle with faint praise
Review: anyone who calls this book a "wonderful, whimisical fantasy that touched me deeply as a child" or anything along those lines is certainly not doing the book justice. the prose in this book is more poetic and beautiful than any other work of literature. there is a great sense of compassion for the world in this story, which can at times seem a precautionary tale against the magic in our own world fading. however, it is not a book that criticizes us, but one which simply observes in the plainest words what is going on in the world today in a way that is sure to move any compassionate reader. I've seen this book compared to Tolkien's works, but I am convinced that tolkien cannot claim to be in the same class as beagle.

Summary: I enjoyed this book.
Review: I am not a highly enthusiastic reader of science fiction/fantasy but this book was one of my favorites. Only two books have seemed nearly perfect. I can't really describe how I felt, but the book gave a rare quality of enchantment as if I were reading it in a dream. I compliment the author on his odd, pleasing metaphors and similes relating to how voices sounded. They were fun to encounter.

Summary: You're the last of your kind, how do you find all the others
Review: This wonderful tale is the haphazard story of two misfits and their unicorn, the last of her kind. In an effort to help her find the rest of the lost unicorns, Schmendrick the Magician, "The last of the red-hot swamies," transforms the unicorn into a human. Yet, when she reaches the one place the unicorns can be found, she loses her heart. Will she choose immortality over love?

Summary: i love this book so much
Review: I do not even know how many times i have read this book by now. It captures timeless fantasy without being merely for children. It doesn't seem to matter how many times i read it i still love it and always seem to find myself thinking of something differently than before. The story holds a magic to it that is rare these days. Some fantasy tales seem to have a cheap action edge to them but that is not present with this one. It's not that it's boring, there just doesn't seem to be anything cheap about it. All in all, a beautiful story that i would recomend to anyone.

Summary: Wonderful, Whimsical, Child-like Fantasy
Review: I actually read this book when I was in sixth grade, and I remember that I got into alot of trouble with my math teacher because I wouldn't stop reading it during class. To me, at that time in my life, it was the greatest book I ever read.

Look at it like this. This is a children's fantasy that can be enjoyed by children of all ages. I've read it four times since sixth grade, and although I've matured, and the literary content of the book isn't exactly as broad as what I'm used to tackling-it's still wonderful.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Possibly my favoritre book...
Review: A simple, artfully crafted bit of disillusionment set paradoxically in the fantasy genre. As the cliched saying goes: a children's tale for grown ups.
