Summary: The Best Book Ever!!! Do read it.
Review: I have this book for about a year now and I have read it at least 20 times. I just simply love it. It is the best book by MC, I guarantee you. Don't miss the chance to read it if you haven't done so already. Also don't read beyond this point if you haven't read it before. Some people do find MC's style a little gruesome, especially when he writes about coils of intestines, etc. But still, its great. The action just takes you into the characters' world and you feel as if you're 'in the book'. When the action stops, it is replaced by interesting facts. I never skipped them while I read it. This was the second book I read written by MC and since then I've read almost all of them.

Summary: a good accurate book
Review: This book had a great storyline. The public also needed to see some of the new ideas on dinosaurs and this book did it. I was impressed at how much research the author did and what a great job he did at portraying dinosaurs as living animals and not monsters.

Summary: Jurassic Park: My Review~
Review: I read this book the first time when I was seven years old. I skipped all of the "mathematical" parts; I was too young really to understand them. I read the rest of the book, though. I found it extremely interesting; maybe because I was only seven years old and this was the first "adult" book that I had read. I pretty much understood the book. I loved dinosaurs. After reading this book, I could beat my little brother (a total dinosaur ADDICT!) at dino-trivia. I was very proud of myself.

Now, I am twelve (ok, I'll be twelve in fifteen days!). I still read this book. I still love it. In fifth grade, I was probably the only girl in my class who knew so much about dinos. I have to hand it to Crichton, this book was very exciting...you can't just read half of it. You gotta read the whole thing (and not skip the "mathematical" parts...they are important!).

There is only one criticizm that I can make. I don't think that Crichton needed Nedry to mess the control system up. I think that Malcom's theroy would have proved more effective if the system had just failed, maybe a power shortage or something.

That is my review. To sum it all up here's what my review states:

Good book, dino fans will love it!

Summary: The book is much better than the movie
Review: I read this book im my English class, but it was awesome to read and imagine the Jurassic Park. I think the author Michael Crichton has an incredible imagination to write about the dinosaurs who were living thousands of thousands years ago before the world had been settled again. I think you should read it. IT IS INCREDIBLE!

Summary: The best book ever written!!!!!!
Review: I have read many books in my lifetime but this is the best one yet. It is full of suspense and mystery while the scientists visit the prehistoric theme park. It is a must read book for lovers of scary type books. The book keeps you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end I could not put down the book until I was done.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: A suspenseful and exciting novel, with some drawbacks!
Review: First, let me preach the scientific inaccuracies of this book. From a paleontological standpoint, much of dinosaur behavior and movement is based on pure assumption on Crichton's part. The Dilophosaurus poison thing can be overlooked, as can the double-sized Velociraptors. I don't appreciate Crichton's half-research on dinosaurs and I think the T-rex's movement based vision was a flaring idiotic idea. Otherwise, the characters, as in almost all of Crichton's literature, were fairly shallow. Also, how did the Jurassic Park scientists move the embryo to the egg? Crichton himself admits he neglected to include this in his novel because he couldn't figure out a way around it. But enough griping. Let's address what was spectacular about this novel. The plot was mastermind, and the action overall is superior to Crichton's other books. The elements of suspense Crichton includes show Crichton's great skill at writing contemporary fiction. It's too bad that this was the last novel Crichton wrote as a story to be told instead of a book to be easily developed into a screenplay for a movie. Plot is a ten but character underdevelopment, scientific assumptions, paleontological guesses, and half-hearted unresearched references to Chaos Theory (a theory that I put stock in, its just that Crichton obviously fails to do it justice) bring my rating down to an eight.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: The best science-fiction novel ever!
Review: "Jurassic Park" is sure to become a classic of literature. It is not only an awesome story that keeps any reader turning pages (something not many novels achieve), but it is an intelligent compression of subjects from many grounds of science such as mathematics, paleontology, computers and genetics. It is particularly interesting when Crichton explains the whole park incident based on the chaos theory, or when the close to death mathematician reflects about our modern day world. The large number of characters on many different places of the island adds up a great suspense when their stories come together. The author managed to create a place so marvelous and visually beautiful that the reader at some point at the first quarter of the book would do anything to avoid the disaster which is obviously approaching. Definitely an intelligent and thrilling ride any reader of any age can experience (I was 12 when I did) and learn a lot about science in general.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Best science fiction book I have ever read.
Review: A great novel about a group of people going to an island with dinosauors and in all of their awe, in a mans atempt to steal embryos, the dinosaours get loose with no restraing device, and cause panic among the people while eating some of them. This book is as good or better than its movie, which is now the #2 movie of all time
