Rating: Summary: This book was the absolute best! Review: Jurassic Park, in my opinion, was Micheal Crichton's best novel of all his books. When I started reading it, I couldn't put it down. It was very interesting in the begining. It got more and more exiting as I read along. Micheal Crichton could not have done a better job. Take my advice- READ IT!!
Rating: Summary: a great book Review: Jurassic Park never will become a classic but its one of my favorit books. Its not important that the dinosaur information be right. The story was intresting and exciting.
Rating: Summary: THE ABSOLUTE BEST BOOK EVER WRITTEN Review: IN THE HISTORY OF THE UNIVERSE!!!!!! I have read this book, like, four times, and I could never ever ever ever get tired of it! The characters are vivid, the explanations make you feel like it is real, and you feel like you are THERE! Every time you think things can not possibly get any worse than they are, MC just twists the story further! Nothing can be said to match the sheer majesty of this book!! How about a third installment in the JP series?
Rating: Summary: Suspense at its best, but rather dry on plot and characters Review: Michael Crichton is, arguably, the inventor of modern suspense. Instead of subjecting us to the rather tepid mystery this book could have been, he lets us writhe in delightful agony as we watch the characters slowly realize their dino-dinner potential. Two of the story's downfalls are the character development (mediocre) and the plot (doesn't live up to what it's trying to be). A fun, light hearted romp at best, but still worth the hour and a half it'll take you to read it.
Rating: Summary: It's intense for the last 60 pages Review: This book had a definate sense of intensity in it. The characters were beleivable, and the plot was ingenious. This wasn't the best page turner that I've read, but it's a very solid, entertaining book, even though Malcom's character is pointless, and somewhat annoying.
Rating: Summary: One of the best books ever written Review: This is without a doubt one of his best books to date. I first read this book when I was 10 and instently fell in love with it, and have since re-read the book at least 20 times. The book definetly keeps you on your toes and you never want to put it down(belive me I know, my 9th grade german teacher constintly had to tell me to put it away) the book would have gotten a 10 from me if not for the fact that alot of the Dinosaur information is a little off, for example. Velociraptors ar NOT 6 FEET TALL more like 3 the animal that possed such a threat resembles the Utah Raptor. and as for the fact that Dilophosaurs had 'Manes' and could 'Spit' poison has never been proven. and finaly the T-rex can only see movement? I doubt it! T-rex's had excelent vision! but other than a few 'Dino-misprints' the book excells and keeps you woundering 'is he going to die?. can she jump and make it into the pool?' well you'll just ahev to find out. Rating: Summary: I think it was a great book, it was very riviting. Review: I think everyone should read this book it was probably Michael Crichton's best novel. It was an " Edge of your Seat " thriller and everyone will enjoy it.
Rating: Summary: What does he know about dinos? Review: M.C. knows nothing about how dinos acted (nobody know for that matter.) How can he write a book in which no one in the world knows about? Most things in this book are irrelivant. I won't even start on the Lost World because it is a lot worse than this book. M.C. should have stopped with this one!
Rating: Summary: This book is great for anyone. A certain classic! Review: Michael Crichton is the best. This book is full of suspence, action and astonishing plot twists. Once you think you know what will happen next he suprises you with a page-turning cliff-hanger. This is definitly a new-age classic, Michael crichton at his best. - Rebecca M. Stone
Rating: Summary: MASTERPIECE! Review: Jurassic Park is the most terrific novel I have ever read. JP is a book which is well combined of bioengineering, scientific computing and suspense. From a scientist's point of view, the information used in the book is so realistic and up-to-date. It indicates that Michael Crichton had done very good preparation before he started writing the book. Jurassic Park is absolute masterpiece of Michael Crichton!
