Rating: Summary: A must read book. Review: This is a great book, about scientist's finding a way to recreate dinosaurs, then gone wrong. This book has comedy, suspense, action, and drama. Crichton has a wonderful cast of characters, some colorful, some sarcastic and funny. He has great description and has obviously done his research. Crichton keeps you guessing, never knowing who's going to die or what will happen next. This is a must read book, buy it today!
Rating: Summary: Crichton's best sci-fi novel yet Review: It is doubtful this book will be surpassed by any other science fiction writer. Crichton knows how to combine drama and a really good story with scientific explanations, so you actually learn something while reading it. My copy is now tattered and dog eared, I've read it so many times. It's impossible to get tired of re-reading it.
Rating: Summary: Enthralling tale of science, madness, and dinosaurs. Review: Michael Crichton has outdone himself with what seems to be a plausable tale of science and dinosaurs. Take a mad entertainer, add a little science, mix with dinosaur experts and children, stir (or shake), and you have an island inhabited by dinosaurs. This book is extremely readable (beats the movie hands down). It was very hard to put it down for things such as work, sleep, relationships with others, etc. The moral- wait until you are on vacation to read this book!!!
Rating: Summary: A very greate read. Review: The story is quite good, the action I most admit is greate, but the book by itself went a bit slow (for me). But the science was hard core. A most read.
Rating: Summary: I couldn't put it down!! Review: I could not put this book down!! I thought that it explained the plot and problems of the characters in great detail. Also it really made you feel as if you were there, since it had so many details. This book was way better than THE LOST WORLD. I'm lucky that I read this one first because the other book really turned me off. Overall I thought that this was one of Crichton's best.
Rating: Summary: Amazing!!! Review: If you thought the movie was good you have another thing comming. Classic Crichton. It was excedengly suspenseful. A classic thriller. It was skillfully put together in a mass of tangled and twisted plot and kept me turning pages long after dark. The description of the unknown and unseen to man creatures was excellent and scientificaly corect
Rating: Summary: Very true.A mix of horror and drama. Review: In my opinion, it was beter than lost world.I read it twice I only chose 4 stars because the begining bored me a little.Fiction, yet nonfiction. Very exiting.I think Jurasic Park was better than Crichton's other bestseller; Airframe.
Rating: Summary: Best Book Review: This is one of the best book that I have read. And the funny thing is that it is still good even when you read it more than once. I personally have read it 3 times. I have never read a book that often before, and I plan to read it another time soon. A pure masterpiece. Let's just hope that Crichton does not go the way of the movie and kills the series by writing a third installment.
Rating: Summary: Chills and Thrills! Review: I read this one in one sitting. God, what a tense little story! I loved the movie too, but the book was by far better. A thriller and a science lesson all in one! How cool. Malcolm has such a dramatic death scene at the end of this one, how could Mr. Crichton ruin it by bringing him back for the Lost World? Ian's death was the perfect "I told you so" for Hammond, and as much as I liked the smart-mouthed egomaniac, there was no need for his return in a sequel. Jurassic Park stands on its own.
Rating: Summary: I fell off my seat four times while reading this Review: The best book I have ever read, period. This makes the movie look kind of stupid and I loved the movie too.
