Rating: Summary: Gripping. Review: The first time you re4ad this book, you are utterly mystified at the writers, (Michale Chrichton)imagination. Chrichton spins a tale of suprise and mystery, with a dash of evasion and horror.
Rating: Summary: Great, very believable, and grewsome. Review: The story line was great in turn to the greatness of the type of fear it will put in you.
Rating: Summary: JP is an exciting book that will keep you up all night. Review: If there is on thing Crichton knows how to do, it's write. Crichton brings to life the creatures that all of us dreamed about. Convincing us that it just might be possible to bring these animals back. If you are in the mood for adventure, but not sure what it is your looking for pick up Jurassic Park and enjoy the ride.
Rating: Summary: Crichton at his best! (SPOILERS IN REVIEW) Review: Here is another example of how phenonmenal a writer Micheal Crichton is. The characters in this book a great because there's such an interesting variety. What's even more amazing about this variety is that it's all based on one subject yet there's so many people from so many fields. What a great plot. How original, he must have done a ton of research, not only is the research accurate and easy to understand (except for the people who say it's too hard because they've dropped out of high-school or didn't do well in science class), there's also physics lesson, chaos theory lessons and other things like that, by my all-time favorite character, Ian Malcom. One gripe I have is that the dinosaurs reactions don't flow. First, the velicoraptors and ripping people to shreads and stuff, and then, they're all nice to the people even though they're in there colony. Another thing is that the compy bites that girl on the beach, yet she moves, doesn't look dead (or at least that's how the book implies it), and isn't crippeld. Why is that? The ending was a little skecthy as well, it ended quickly, and nothing seemed to happen. Also, we never found out what happened to the T-Rex, I mean, wouldn't it wake up or something? Anyway, besides the ending and that gripe I had, this is one of the great books of the decade. Excellent plot, excellent characters, Excellent book. P.S. The sequel is definately not as good. and Macolm was a disappointment.
Rating: Summary: Extremely Interesting and Very Enjoyable Review: This book was the first novel that I ever read, and it totally got me into the reading business. This book was great. Michael Crichton works wonders with a pen and some paper. This book I enjoyed most over some of the other books I've read since, in fact, I read it twice. I loved the plot, and it is not all too far fetched, and the story just flow together, which made it quick reading. This book was far better than the movie, but the movie was pretty good, and I recomend it to anyone who enjoys to read.
Rating: Summary: Amazing Review: Wow, where do I start? The suspense is amazing and just gets better and better the farther you get. Crichton's attention to detail will make you feel like you're there. It's essentially a strange sci-fi storyline, but the way he explains it makes it sound believable and a nonfiction story/documentary. A must-read for anyone who likes suspense novels. Note: Its very strange to think that Crichton writes at a 4th-grade level! I know some of you fans wouldn't believe it but its true. His books ARE amazing, though!
Rating: Summary: Wonderful Review: I was blown away when I finished this masterpiece. This is the only book that I have ever read that made me actually root for the characters and also the dinos. I almost cried at the end even. It's Michael Crichton's best I have read.
Rating: Summary: Michael Crichton beats all! Review: This is a great book coming from an 12 year old who likes everything from the Harry Potter series and Animorphs to Michael Crichton and Carl Sagan.
Rating: Summary: Best Book Ever! Review: Michael Crichton is a great author! I love all his books! Jurassic Park beats all! The story is so beliveable! Lex and Timmy are the coolest!
Rating: Summary: Crichton's best!!! Review: Michael Crichton's most interesting and compelling novel. Interesting from the get-go, the story just keeps getting more and more exciting. I can even picture this seemingly unbelievable fiction as plausible! You liked the movie? You will LOVE the book.
