Summary: For my adult life, this has been my one quotable book.
Review: This book is more than exciting fiction. It's a primer for most of the real world. Ian Malcolm's morphine-induced rants are superb, notably.

I originally read this book back in 1993, when the hype was enormous. I was eleven and could not understand a lot of the higher-brow material, but that changed as I got older. I read it over and over again, getting more and more out of it. It's been six years and this remains one of my favorites.

Some claim that this is one of Crichton's lesser works. I disagree. It may not hold up as fiction, though I believe it does. For me, it doesn't matter. Jurassic Park is on another plane. Whether intended or not, it is a book for our time.

Oh. And it has dinosaurs.

Summary: One of the best books I have ever read! Amazing!
Review: Jurassic Park is definietly one of the best books I have ever read. I am 13 and in the eighth grade. I read JP over the summer for an advanced reading program. I didn't think that I would like it, since most school-assigned books are terrible, and the teachers constantly "kill" the semi-good books. Surprisingly, I loved it! I definitely recommend this book to anyone who likes dinosaurs, biological engineering, or science fiction.

Summary: Close but no Cigar.
Review: Jurassic Park was a good book but it could have been better. I liked the book and I must say it was way better then the movie. The book was much more action paced then the movie and explaned a lot more, but was missing somethings that would have made it better to me. I'm not going to spoil the end which is where I think the book could have made some changes. Overall I was glued to the book.I recommend this book to anyone that would like a good book.

Summary: This book deserves more
Review: This book is the best book written in my opinion. The wayMr. Crichton describes the technology and gore is amazing. This bookdeserves every book award available, and so does its sequel, The Lost World. Read it and try not to pee in your pants. At less than $10, with shipping and handling, buy it before it sells out. I did.

Summary: SPELLBINDING
Review: This book to me to the far parts of my imagination. This book was so good it got me to read two more of his books "Congo" and "Eaters of the Dead." This is one of the best books I've ever read and I recommend you read it too.

Summary: The very defenition of an ideal, believeable sci-fi
Review: This book kept me up for 72 hours straight. I couldn't put it down. I got in trouble at school for reading when I wasn't suppose to.

Summary: This story is full of suspense!
Review: Jurassic Park is an edge-of-your-seat thriller. Your senses are always alert during this story. It keeps you wanting to read more. The details in this story are spectacular! You can picture that you are in the story. This book makes you wonder if someday, in the future, people could genetically engineer dinosaurs. The author really described the flesh wounds greatly. It is so descriptive it makes you queasy. It makes you think that this could really happen.

Summary: IT WAS GRRREAT!
Review: HI I'm Stephanie Ballard from Denham Springs, Louisiana. I really don't know much about literature because I am only a sophmore, but take it from me Michael Crichton is a great book writer (author). I HATE reading and Jurrasic Park was the first book, when I actually took time and read the first page, I really liked it. It is rather long, but sometimes long is good. It took me about 2 days to read this book. I only read it about 2 hours a day so really it was only 4 hours. The time went by so fast. OH WELL! Atleast he got his point across. I never knew so much about dinosaurs until this book. I recommend this book to everyone who has nothing to do. I think you will like it more that watching your favorite T.V shows. (WELL MABEY NOT! ) To me it is! So for everyone who is bored out of their minds, buy the book. Then one day PICK IT UP and READ IT. You won't imagine how much you'll learn. GO JURRASIC PARK!

Summary: Who says he`s innaccurate?
Review: I laugh when I read all of these reviews saying that he is wrong about dinosaur behaviour. There is a particularly amusing (and long) letter nearer the bottom of the reviews. He recomends a book by some guy who "knows what he`s talking about". Uh-huh? Are we to beleive that because this guy is a paleontologist that what he says is gospel? Good one mate. How does he know that the dinosaur will sit for hours mourning the loss of her partner? He doesn`t. Nobody does. Maybe Michael Crichton has written the most accurate portrayal of dinosaur life known (or unknown) to man. So why don`t people read the book, enjoy it for what it is and stop critisicing the facts he presents.

Summary: Very good - with a few exceptions!
Review: I liked this book alot - it was hard to put down and was very informative. The plot hooks you, and it's nice to read, AND the characters are likable (especially Malcom!)... however, there are a few lingering questions. 1. Why didn't the verlarsaraptors (spelled wrong, probably) excape the first time? 2. Why was visiting the verlarsaraptor's nest non-dangerous? It appeared added at the end of the book with little explanation and little danger (it would seem to be the most dangerous)!

Other than that, a great book!
