Review: Crichton's books are always well research and based in fact. This book is no different! Educational and entertaining at the same time!

After I read this book I was so excited they were making a movie of it that it felt like years before it finally came out and I was sitting in the theatre on it's first day of release.

The movie was not quite true to the book, which was a disappointment. However, the movie was still deserving of it's massive grossing.

The ending is also very different. Even if you seen the movie, you must read the book!

Review: This book Jurassic Park,its very interestings and spooky at some parts. At first I did not wanted to read this book but as I went further into it, i cool not stop reading it, but the only thing i dont like is the ending, it sets teh ending for a continuation.

Summary: A thousand times better than the movie
Review: "Jurassic Park" the movie was a thriller. It was one long chase scene. It was a chase scene with some of the most amazing special effects I've ever seen, but just a chase scene nonetheless.

"Jurassic Park" the book is so much more. The basic plot is the same - that wasn't changed for the movie version (although some details are different). The book is very scientific, but not so much that someone fairly ignorant of genetics couldn't understand it. Most importantly, it is a fable about the ethics of genetic engineering and about the terrifying consequences of Man playing God. It's about what happens when an idealist refuses to give up his vision, even when it becomes clear that his dream is not feasible. It's about the depths that greedy men can sink to. And the ending is just fantastic - chilling. An ending which, by the way, was totally changed in the movie version, so even if you have seen the movie, you don't know how it ends. Crichton's writing perfectly conveys the intensity of emotions, and the characters are well-developed and real. If you liked the movie, you'll like the book even better. If you DIDN'T like the movie - give the book a chance. It's completely different.

Review: Back when I was in 5th grade I saw the previews for the film of this book so I went out and read it. It was huge and yet I sat up every night till about 3 every morning and the next thing I knew I was done in a week. The book is amazing and as much as I liked the movie it really couldnt compare with this book. BUY THIS BOOK NOW! It is a real thriller and will have you up at night flipping through the pages. You cant put this book down.

Review: The movie has grown dull over time, but this book is as good as ever. Any opinions you have of this story mean nothing until you've read the book.

This book is one of the few that can actually made my heart speed up while reading it. Though Chricton tends to ramble at times over the technical stuff, the action is worth the wait! I'd say it's at least five times more exciting the movie ever could've been.

If you like books that can keep you up at night, you'll like "Jurassic Park."

Review: I was forced to read this for a class some years ago and frankly, it's horrid. I found it dull and lacking in any real literary flair. I, an insomniac, fell asleep reading this book. I didn't like the tone, language, or the plot. The only character I liked was Malcom and he died so I found the book of little interest.

Summary: Incredible book, made the movie look stupid
Review: In sharp contrast to the movie, this book is extremely deep and you can really get into it. Ian Malcolm is a much better developed character in the book, and the rants due to the morphine he's on are especially powerful. Only problem is, I read it so often, my paperbacks keep falling apart, so i have to buy more. =)

Review: this was my first crichton book i read thinking the movie was good the book should be good. The book was so much better than the movie it made the effects look like claymation.Much more detailed and descriptive.( if you dont like gory stuff you might not like it) it was my first crichton and i havnt been able to stop reading his books!I read AIRFRAME it two days! Some advice BUY THE BOOK NOW!
