Summary: Another Salvatore classic
Review: Once again Salvatore proves he is the best. His characters, and battle scenes are so wonderfully orchestrated you can't stop reading. This is truly a classic in the making

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: An entertaining rainy-day series
Review: R.A. Salvatore has always done a good job of creating memorable characters. Cadderly and Danica and the Bouldershoulders are all fun characters to read about and their adventures entertaining to anyone who is a fantasy fiction fan. These books aren't challenging by any means-- they're purely an entertaining quick read, good for when you're taking a break from heavy college textbooks and feel like immersing yourself in a world of fantasy!

Summary: The cleric quintet
Review: Salvatore once again delivers big time action, magic, and adventure in this fabulously crafted series. Experienced Salvatore readers wont be dissapointed with the brutal fighting scenes and non-stop action of the cleric quintet. Character development and attachment are trademark Salvatore quality adding to the list of favorite Realms personalities with heroes like the Bouldershoulder brothers and Danica the monk. Salavtore takes full advantage of the shared fantasy genre, exploring and defining new areas of geography and history of the rich tapestry that is the Forgotten Realms. Enjoy!

Summary: A must read
Review: The Cleric Quintet is a must read for all Drizzt fans and fantasy fans, alike! The hero is as developed as any in Salvatore's other works and moreso than some. The world is detailed and anyone who is familiar with the Drizzt series will recognize it quickly. The plot is familiar but with plenty of twists, turns, and outright 180s that the reader will be constantly on his toes to keep pace, and not in a bad way!

This book ties in with the Drizzt series, as stated. But, its not dependant upon it in the least. It does, however, give some spoilers if one has not read the Icewind Dale Trilogy so be warned. But if you've no desire to read about the lightning quick drow, then you're still in for a great read as this book is an independant work that only talks about events that are transpiring in the world that Drizzt also happens to inhabit.

The reader will be rewarded with a plot that thickens and never lets the reader go, characters that are as good as any I've read in a Salvatore novel, situations that will make your hair stand on end (literally!), and humor that only Salvatore can pull off. A work worth reading by all, The Cleric Quintet should be on every fantasy lover's shelf because it has something for almost everyone.

Summary: Entertaining...
Review: The cleric quintet is an entertaining series of books set in the mythical "Forgotten Realms" Universe. The books main story line is of a young priest, Cadderly, who by the twist of fate gets caught up in an evil plot to take control of the region. Through the course of the books Cadderly sees for the first time the real world outside of his sheltered studying, and learns to overcome his guilts and to follow his heart. The storyline takes place over a number of individual lots coming together as more of a campaign than an epic story. The Novel's are quite interesting but not overly complex at all.. Three stars for a good series, but not anything great to look at. The storyline is simple, the characters plain (though they do develop) and the action scenes at the most. Yet if you are looking for good fantasy reading with humor and deepening story lines and character plots, go with Dragonlance. But if you are looking for just a quick and entertaining read and do not enjoy a more sophisticated scene, this series is just right for you.

Summary: Even better than last time.
Review: The first thing I read from Salvatore's pen was the Dark Elf Trilogy. I was stunned, and deeply in love after the first few pages. I had allready played AD&D for some time, so I knew about Drizzt, but getting to know him like this was fantastic. No book could ever match this, or so I thought. The Cleric Quintet does it! I have found myself reading at 5 o'clock in the morning in spite of the alarm ringing at 8. The relation between the Bouldershoulder brothers is great, the love between Danica and Cadderly grips you, the battle scenes astonishes you, but most of all, it is the magic. When cadderly reached deep into the song of Deneir and felt as if he was one with his God, shivers went down my back. Even larger shivers than when Elminster met Mystra (in making of a mage). To all the fans of Salvatore: Do yourself a favour, read it and get to know, and love even more of salvatores great charcters!

Summary: A cleric being the central character?? Unheard of! LOVED it!
Review: The hysterical Bouldershoulder brothers (Dwarves), Danni the lovely but deadly monk (yes, as in "Kung Fu"), some mysterious elves, an imp, a deadly magician, and yes, the cleric that inspires you with his innocence, and his wisdom.

A MUST read!

Matt

Summary: Salvatore's originality takes the cake.
Review: The variety of character races is great. Caddery rocks!!! It's not every day someone is in the favor of their god.
