Summary: The best book I've ever read
Review: I am a 12 year old and I thought Fight Club was one of the best books I have ever read. It introduced new ideas and concepts to me. Once you get at least 50 pages into the book you will not stop reading it. I am glad I read the book before seeing the movie.

Summary: Great, fast read.
Review: Fight Club is quite possibly one of the best books I have ever read. It is a sharp, witty satire and a lot of it makes sense. Our society is heading in a more violent condition. Since I heard of the movie first, but haven't seen it, I felt before I should read the book before the movie goes up for purchase. I made a good decision. What goes inside of their "head" is really clear and you most definitly connect with the character (sorry if I gave away anything). The author of this novel MUST have a chemical imbalance in his head becuase this book is very strange. NOT FOR THE WEAK AT HEART. My favorite line has to be when Marla says to Tyler "I want you to get me pregnant. I want to have your abortion".

Summary: Great
Review: A fantastic novel. I was unable to put it down until the very end, and I read it again three times. You can almost feel the atmosphere, dark and chilling, creep around you and suck you in into this very beleivable world. The book moves in a fast pace as it takes you through the disturbed minds of the characters, who are described very realistically. Mesmerizing. Very intense. Just great. Try it for yourself- although I would advise against reading it if you don't like books with dark atmospheres.

Summary: Talk ABout Fight Club
Review: The book is very intriguing. Somehow, it became clearer at a much earlier stage what was actually going on inside Durden's head... still I felt compelled to race through the rest of the novel. I may have been better to have read the book before watching the movie, because I kept seeing Norton and Pitt in my head as I read through it. The writing is creative, fast, sometimes erratic. Really looks like written by somebody with a slight personality disorder. Excellent book that lead to an excellent movie and an excellent soundtrack. Two thumbs up.

Summary: you wanted a way to change your life
Review: this book is a commentary on the way the world has evolved into a giant commercial. we are dictated what to wear, how to look, and what job to have. social acceptance is necessary. in this book, mr. palahniuk tells us that this is not the way to live. and he wakes the reader up o the world around them. through fight clubs, the world's men begin to regain a sense of self. something that tyler durden, inventor of fight club, believes is slowly being removed from all of us. this book will excite you about regaining your identity from corporations and media that are determined to steal from us all. buy this book!

Summary: Pure Madness
Review: Ever wonder why people shackle themselves to society's pillars? We wear watches because it tell's us where we have to be or what we have to do. We have electronic diaries and mobilephones that drag our human spirit further into the clutches of modern society.

This book opens your eyes to our human self. The people we are and not the people society wants us to be. Mr Palahniuk (love that name)takes us on a mindblowing experience and a refreshing one at that.

Best read in conjunction with "The Dice Man" by Luke Rhinehart for maximum impact!

Summary: WICKED
Review: Fight Club is an awesome, awesome book. It is really better than the movie in a lot of ways (although the movie is utterly fantastic). The writing is absolute genius - all those great narrative lines from the movie are straight out of Palahniuk's writing. The story is essentially the same, but there are some slight differences. I think the character of Marla is a little more exaggerated in the movie.

The grasp of philosophical ideas displayed in the novel is great, as is the story's message. The message is great, although it is complex. Basically it's that the search for individuality at any cost can lead to dangerous fascism and conformity. The people in the story want to know how far they can take this and still be alive. They are tired of the plastic commercial world around them. Tyler Durden shows them a better way, and makes them a part of something. So they are eager to serve, like "space monkeys."

Fight Club is a dark and witty satire as well. If you saw the movie first (like I did, unfortunately), then some of the great satirical quality of the writing may not be very surprising. The movie sticks close to the book. But it is still a book you should definitely read, whether you saw the movie or not.

Summary: Awesome
Review: Unfortunately I saw the movie first, although it I did love the film. The premise behind this story is so incredible....it just continues to blow my mind how accurate albeit outrageous, some of this story is. The movie and book are exactly the same....I've gone so far as to underline passages of the book I find them so amazing. Some may find it to be too violent or extremist, but look below the surface and all of humanity comes briming to the top. It's a worthwhile read, if you can stomach the dark side!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: one of the best
Review: fight club is probably one of the best books ever written. it's truly amazing. a word comes to mind.. this word is visceral..is that a good word for the book? i hope so. anyway.. its just great.. it'll totally blow your mind..

Summary: Greatest Book Ever, but J. Tom Adams Reading?
Review: I love the movie, i love the book, i love fight club. And yes, women can like this stuff too. Because i am a woman and i love this movie, book, and then came the audio book, i though hey- i neeeeed to get this too. It is still a fabulos book, but j. Tod Adems can not read! He is a horrible actor, he lacks emotion, it's like listening to a boring, blah blah blah!

I think it wouldhave been sweet if they had chuck palahniuk reaing, or edward norton.

Todd Adams took a masterpeice and turned it into blah!
