Review: This is simply the BEST series of books ever written. Funny, witty, and insightful. So incredibly true while at the same time so incredibly out there. on a scale of 1-10 it ranks a 42. Topped only by the Bible.

This is the funniest 5-book-and-1-short-story-trilogy ever, and though the short story "Young Zaphod Plays It Safe" fits better in the radio series, where Zaphod actually has ordered the destruction of Earth, it is still a must-read for any fan of Douglas Noel Adams!
Speaking of which... why is it impossible to see if any of the audiocassetes should happen to be the original radio show?

Review: I thoroughly enjoy this book. I use the present tense, since I have re-read it many times, and will re-read it many times. I can still laugh at the zany, whacky jokes and things that happen to the characters. A MUST read!

Review: I read Doug Adams's books when I was unemployed and in a severe depression, and they absolutely cheered me up. Then, I gave the books of the trilogy to my friend when she was in the hospital after a mastectomy. She said they saved her life. Something about Doug Adams's "Don't Panic," his characters and their stories speak to people, especially when they are vulnerable. I love him.

Review: The stories are no more horrid than Grimm Fairy Tales. There is little profanity. Nothing has to be read in any particular order. There are some simple life lessons to be learned. No kid should start the new century without the perspectives available in this set of stories.

Review: Once I had finished reading this book, I realized that I had never read, and probably never would read, a book that was funnier. You will not believe how worthwhile a read this book is until you have read it cover to cover many times.

Review: Douglas Adams is by far one of the most outrageous authors i have ever had the honor of knowing about. His storys follow the lives of Arthur dent and Ford prefect after a bunch of large green aliens destroy earth for a controversial hyperspace bypass, along the way they come in contact with some pretty funny people and some sticky situations, worth the buy.. trust me

Summary: One of the most original works of our time! I loved 'em all!
Review: I loved all the stories in this book. D. Adams introduces us to some very interesting and funny characters, and then lets loose with some very far out conspiracies and situations. These are not your typical "happy ending" stories. They are hysterically funny, and tragic all at once. The idea of an "improbability drive" almost makes you believe it could possibly work. Do not read these on a crowded subway or any other form of public transportation, as doing so may be hazardous to your wellbeing!
